I agree that bagage does suck from a practical standpoint, especially if you're going for a fling. But from what Finalsbound has posted, he doesn't seem like he's into cheap thrills. All the center-of-life-is-God talk should be a hint. Soooooo, even though you're making a point tbagain, i don't think you should be so quick to shoot down idealism. Maybe you don't believe in it, but if it works for others, then that should be okay. Both sides have valid concerns. Personally, it'd depend on what point in my life i'm in to determine whether or not this relationship should be pursued. Major drama and conflict sometimes is the price to pay for true happiness. And there's still the matter of principle. The girl's father is a hardcore racist. That is wrong, very wrong. It's not FB's responsibility to keep the girl's family without conflict. Especially if it is just to satisfy the old man's racist ideology. If the old man blows a fuse because his white daughter is dating a black rockets fan, than that's the fault of the old man. You shouldn't appease evil for the sake of calm. And hardcore racism is evil. And lastly Tbagain, you should stop dissin people on the board. it is sometimes difficult to interepret attitude by the way people post, but you came off really condescending and rude at first. You started it, at least that's what the evidence looks like. That doesn't make it right for people to diss you either. But when you start stuff like that, and then it escalates, you might jeapordize your ability to read/respond to the board, meaning you might get kicked. There's nothing wrong with stating opinion, because you do have some valid points; but I ask you to just stop being so rude. Just my opinion.
