I've got no love for them at all...they got away with a lot of push offs, favourable calls and acted like douchebags on court, then unloaded fireworks & streamers after winning in the first round. LMA seems like a decent guy, but the rest of team are a bunch of whiny, whinging complainers. I know it's not their fault the referees were incompetent, but I can't stand being beat.
Why would u want to hate them? They just played better basketball n well coached. Hate mchale for his incompetence, morey for his analytics mumbo jumbo, n harden for not showing what a superstar should do in the playoffs.
I love the Blazers, man. Not the team, I'm indifferent towards the team. But the city, the knowledgeable, dedicated fans, the history, the organization's approach, Paul Allen as an owner, the way they draft and manage their cap, their uniforms, the "Rip City" moniker.... Portland fans also share the pain that comes with fallen stars (Oden/Roy vs Yao/McGrady), years of good but not good enough runs (Dawson runs), and they cant watch their team on TV either. The Trailblazers are a badass franchise. The team? We let them win, man. We laid down for them. They deserve to be playing right now.
Really I couldn't give two ****s about the Blazers. No hate and no love for them. Refs allowed a lot of push offs.... But the rockets had their chances and failed.
I have no beef with the Blazers, except that punk scrub Mo Williams. I have beef with the NBA for its WWF refs, and I fully expect to have to watch Lillard's buzzer beater in every NBA tv ad for the next five years like I had to watch Brandon Roy's.
I have finally realized the last few years that I can't take this **** to seriously any more. I literally hated and wanted to KILL other players during the oilers and rockets glory time. I mean like thoughts of sniping them. My 8 year old grew up watching me curse, break remotes, scream outside and the whole nine. Finally came to a head when he had tears running down his face because of his Texans ****ting away a game. I felt horrible for passing that on to him. I literally cryed in the restroom over that. Its ok for him but I have a family and career and other priorities that come first now. Damit I'm going to change so no, I don't hate the Blazers TODAY.
I got tired of Matthews flailing like he was shot every time someone set a screen on him. Otherwise, not much hate here.
They didn't beat us fair and square, the whole series was botched by da refs so the spurs would get easy opponents in da second round...nba is all about heat vs spurs showdown again to make all that money.
Sad thing is that I don't think the Blazers are a great team. So that means...we're not a great team either.
I don't hate them at all. It's not their fault the refs called a couple of games ridiculously crappy, and I don't fault them for good play. I don;t consider our series with them to be particularly nasty or noteworthy compared to the last 20 years or so I've been a fan. I blame our own team for our loss more than I do theirs.Between the coaching and Harden half-a$$ing it through the series, we beat ourselves IMHO. I hate Utah, still what, 18 years later? Always will. I hate Dallas. I hate the LAL fanbase. That's about it.
Why hate teams if they beat us with better coaching, defense, offense, better execution and luck too? Add the refs too. It is not their fault that they play better games than us. The blazers played us fair and square and beat us with a bit of luck. It is not their fault that LMA toasted us 40+ in the 1st two games and Lillard on beast mode for the buzzer beater. Our coaches didn't make adjustments to stop LMA until the 3rd game. Too late. Our coaches and players didn't insist on more PnR with our PGs which not only would have scored us much more efficient points instead of Harden's inefficient ISOs, but also would hammer Lillard non-stop and wear him down physically. His fresh legs allowed him to do that 100mph dash & lift to shoot above Parsons' hand. We played poor defense the whole time. Even Lopez is now calling us out on our poor defense & selfish ISO to humiliate us. It is not their fault that Houston, especially Harden, played such leaky defense. And it is not their fault that Harden disappeared. So why hate them? They beat us fairly & squarely. If anything, hate McHale for his poor coaching, and hate Morey for not making any coaching change.
They beat us in execution with a little luck. The only one I don't like is Mo William! Next time, we'll run them out of Houston!
I don't hate them, but I do like seeing Lillard and Aldridge actually playing like humans rather than gods. I just wish they would have regressed to the mean during the first round!
Good young team who played their asses off and beat us. It helps that we were thoroughly outcoached by Terry Freaking Stotts
I prefer my blazers deconstructed, bill! imaginary drexlerisms aside, I detest any team that beats us, even if they did deserve it more. ugh, why did they have to try so hard! still can't get over that.
