So, some good PLAYS with a bunch of bad LOSSES? Meh, once the Texans get serious about winning, I will take them a little more seriously and maybe so will the rest of the league.

Actually, that was one bad ass catch to win that game, but seriously.... loss after loss after loss. Too much bad, too little good.

    Nothing wrong with b****ing.

Yes, I do hate bandwagon fans. They just want to enjoy the good times and pretend they were always there.

2 come-from-behind wins in the final minute, 2 fail-from-in-front losses in the final minute.

Gotta eat your vegetables along with your dessert.

The bandwagoners are the ones who are pointing the finger and laughing at us right now, and making fun of us while saying "same old Texans!". But as soon as things look good again, they'll become "diehards".

The people that are angry right now are among the real fans. Just because we don't have blind optimism doesn't make us bandwagoners. And just because fans give up on the season or don't have faith in the team doesn't mean they aren't fans. If there is one thing I hate, it is meaningless football games ... and for too many years, this team has played meaningless football games for the last 4-6 weeks of the season.

I know, I know, it just sucks and I am tired of it. It's always something with the Texans and it doesn't seem like they are making the necessary changes to get over the hump. I am fed up with just being an average team that can come up with new ways to lose games year after year.

2009 had to be the most frustrating year to date.

I think we blew 4-5 games that we either HAD won or had a very good chance to win.

2010 hasn't been as frustrating to me. The ratio of blown games to awesome wins is even so far, at least.

    Well, at least you admit.

By the way, why are you here? The Rockets aren't playing well. **** the Rockets, right?

Yeah, last year was pretty rough too. I guess this year I just expected them to put it together and make a run at the playoffs, and I thought they might be doing that... until I watched the last 3 games. Obviously, it isn't over, but now they have to beat GOOD teams, and I have VERY little faith they will even get to 9-7 now. Hence.... my frustration (my expectations were too high).

Quite simply: I'm a DIE-HARD SUPPORTER OF THE CITY OF HOUSTON. Period.

The Texans represent Houston, so they're my team. They've been garbage for nearly a decade now and Houston sports fans need to demand better. This "support the team no matter what" crap is stupid. I don't support losers like Gary Kubiak.

I'm sick of hearing, "These people must not remember what it was like to not even HAVE a team." or "I'm a REAL fan b/c I ALWAYS support my team!"

    BS

You're just a complacent loser if you think blindly supporting a garbage franchise that has NEVER had a successful season is what real fandom is all about. Besides, I'm sure Amobi Okoye will save plenty of seats on the bandwagon anyway.

You know what I hate? People judging other people's character based on their disposition towards a team. It's so trite and stupid.

It's an entertainment choice. If someone is all "ho-hum" about the Texans what's it to me? If a Houston fan likes the Cowboys or (God help us) the Titans or some other franchise, then he will get some good-natured ribbing from me for sure, but how is that a bad reflection on his character?

And to expect the majority of people to have anything more than a passing interest in a team that's not winning is to hide under a blanket of naivety. There are folks like me who enjoy American football and who follow the Texans through every loss and every 3-and-out week-by-week, and there are folks who are a little less interested in football but whose attention is captivated when something special happens. Like, I don't know, winning for once in our lifetime.

If you want to call folks like that "bandwagon" then fine. I've got no problem with a bandwagon or those in it.

But I *do* have a problem with sanctimonious, arrogant folks call themselves "TRUE FANS!!!!!11" and look down on everyone else.

Get off your high horse, stop worrying about what everyone else is doing, and enjoy the game (or at least try to, with the way our beloved Texans are playing lately :( ).

That's me in a nutshell. I love the Astros (baseball will always be #1 sport for me), the Texans, the Rockets, the 1836, the Coogs, the Owls... Heck, HBU, James Madison high school, the Aeros, whoever's gonna play in Sugarland...

I don't expect everyone else to feel that way. But for me, I want Houston to kick butt and take names. (as such, this year pretty much sucks.)

Beyond that, I'm a big fan of Texas. (Texas, not South Oklahoma, so Dallas needs not apply)

So give me the 'horns, the aggies, the red raiders, the frogs, the coogs, whoever. If that NCAA championship can somehow find its way back to Texas where it belongs, I'll be happy. No matter who brings it back! :)

Actually there's probably quite a bit that can be gleaned from someone's character based on how/why they support certain things, including sports teams.
