Well I downloaded Kazaa Lite! And I tried it...worked pretty well...without the Girls Gone Wild advertisement and the condom one... very nice.

But then I used Adaware for the first time in a long time!!!!...and I removed some program...and now I can't run Kazaa Lite.

That's what happens with regular Kazaa. :(

This is the server I use....

    www.giganews.com

There's tons more....lots of them free, but retention rates aren't so good on some of those. Check your ISP also....@home used to have awesome servers till they bit it. As for software, Agent is what I've always used.

Granted it might take a bit more effort to get what you want, but connections speeds are always consistent, virus's are not as common, and the selection on a good usenet server leaves peer to peer eating dust.

That is because Kazaa will not run unless you have the actual spyware installed - I forget the name of the file, but Kazaa Lite installs a dummy version of the file, and Adaware still thinks it is the spyware and removes it.

Just reinstall Kazza lite and when adaware detects the "spyware" dummy, just ignore it and you will be ok.

I have a question - I am running Kazaa Lite, and I also tried to install WinMx and Piolet but they keep crashing - Do i need to uninstall Kazaa for them to work?

this is directed toward user: free agent

he said, "is there a noticable difference in using roadrunner and using cable?"

    hello? McFly??

    RoadRunner is Cable.

Dont you know that you use a ... "cable modem" when you use roadrunner.

I stopped using kazaa because TCU's LAN blocks it, so I use Bearshare instead.

I run an old version of K-lite (don't update if they prompt) and run adaware all the time without any problems. Also change your username so it doesn't say kazaaliteuser@------.

I have had problems using Win Mx also, but I don't think its related to Kazaa. I haven't used it enough to bother figuring out the problem though.

I bought the full version of LimeWire a few weeks ago ($8) and I have not been impressed with it at all. The selection of songs is very small and my downloads almost always get cut off.

Only about 10% of my downloads actually go through and of them, about 40% are poor quality (skips, etc..).

    I do NOT recommend LimeWire.
