i do not dislike anybody on this board. i haven't met any of you so how can i dislike them. I'm sure i would like almost everybody here. But with some people i strongly disagree. but that is the whole point in a discusion
For me, I wouldn't have any problem watching a Rox game with any of you. The only exception might be t_j as a result of the venom he constantly spews. He is the only one that I will insult each and every time he addresses me (which is part of the reason I have him on ignore now) and IMO, he has earned every insult. Since I have had t_j on ignore, I have found the d&d much more of a reasonable and intelligent forum in which to discuss these topics. I certainly disagree with some of you on some issues, but that doesn't translate to "hate" for me.
Hate is an overused word, IMO. In my life, I have hated maybe 3 or 4 people. The fiance of my old roomie who, while I was away on business for a couple of months, charged ( litterally) thousands of dollars to my phone, ( mostly sex chat lines), then stole his fiance's parents car, crashed it, and took off without paying anyone. Really screwed up my credit at the time, because I didn't even know about it until later. The abusive drunk artist boyfriend my mom had when I was a kid, and the two cops who lied about a friend of mine to secure his conviction. That's it. I share this personal stuff to show the depths someone has to go to for me to actually hate them. I don't hate Bush, contrary to repeated accusations of same. I fear what he's doing, I have little respect for the man, and I want him out of power so bad it hurts, but that's not a personal thing. It's like having a blind man driving the bus; you don't have to hate him to say " Hey, look...this guy's blind." and try to get him out from behind the wheel after he runs over a few pedestrians. There are people in here for whom I have very little, if any, respect. This is primarily because they don't even try to debate, but repeat mantras, and usually the same people are the kind who have accused me of rejoicing in the deaths of US soldiers, of treason, of cowardice, of hatred for the US and/or Bush, of loving Saddam, and even the kind who merily wished me death at one point. There are others whose choices I can in no way understand, but I don't expect to be able to understand everyone. But, no, I don't hate anyone in here. Not even all that close, really.
Hey if we have a Right against Left brawl, the Left gets to be the Greasers, the Right has to be Socs. And you all know how that turned out.
OK, but if we are playing "Outsiders" I vote that T_J has to be Scott Hall... Hey Yo... CASE CLOSED What? Did I miss something?
Most of us are, but then the argument about Steve and Yao starts up and the fact that we're Rocket fans doesn't matter anymore. Its in our nature to find something to segregate ourselves into groups. Its a crappy endless cycle.
Obscure? More like famous. As to the thread. I am apothetic. There are a handful I wouldn't mind meeting.
"Hate" was for the headline primarily. I didn't think there was much hate here literally. Many of us met T_J at Smeg's Honeymoon in Houston layover last Spring. Believe it or not, T_J is a happy-go-lucky kind of personality. Damn, the man had beers with Batman Jones. It's all shot to hell since then; the curse of liquor...
I only hate republicans and conservatives. Just kidding i don't hate anyone. /regrets crappy joke and goes back to looking at..... other stuff.
