Do you give up 2010 first round pick to complete NY deal?

You choice?

  1. Not giving up a potential lottery pick. Keep McGrady.

  2. If that's what it takes, trade him. Jordan Hill was a lottery pick anyway.

Seriously, that sounds like a lot of fun. I've spent very little time in Vegas, myself.

Morey: So do we got a deal?
Walsh: Actually, I think since we are doing you a favor taking TMAC, we want your 2010 1st round pick.
Morey: HAHAHAHAHAHA, oh man, Donnie, what a great joke. Was that suppose to be some underhanded insult toward Isaiah? Anyway, so how about that deal?
    Walsh: *silence*
Morey: wait...you're serious? Oh man..you are serious. Uh...this is awkward.
Walsh: New York is no longer the incompetent team anymore Daryl. We know talent when we see it. Jordan Hill is amazing and is worth AT LEAST your 1st round pick.
Morey: Didn't you pass on Brandon Jennings to get him?
    Walsh: Shut up!

No way do I give up a 1st this year.

Not only could it conceivably end up being the highest of all the picks in the trade, it(our pick this year) would be working against us to lower/devalue the knicks 2011, and 2012 picks. Bad strategy imo.

I'm really afraid Morey -- considering his gift of Rudy Gay to the Grizz -- actually would consider giving away a lottery pick to get rid of T-Mc. I'd like to have Hill but not that much. Hill should have been a #20 (plus or minus) pick, not a #8. We have no business paying for their mistake. I hope he has turned his attention to Chicago or Golden State, teams with talent that can help us.

We should just hold on to what we have, tank and draft a stud in the upcoming draft...

Agreed. He's one of like two GM's that are interested in 'McGrady The Player' and not just 'McGrady The Contract'. I'm sure he fully plans on playing him, retaining him for cheap and using him as piece that could potentially attract a key free agent(s). Let's milk that for everything it's worth.

Absolutely no! Morey could draft a much better asset than Hill by using this year 1st round pick.

How many long hair dude in the NBA experience any success of playing professional basketball before?? When i say "success" i meant superstardom! There are virtually none. What makes you think Jordan Hill is any difference. Long hair dudes are usually scrubs to semi-decent at best.

I dunno. Like many others here, I'm a fan of Luis Scola.
