Christian condescension offends me. That post was so inappropriate. It basically says, "hey, people who don't believe in God will burn in hell, and are insensitive for "rejecting" the call of Christ." Whatever. Faith is fundamentally personal and intimate. Keep it that way. Intolerance is about the only thing that really offends me... especially when it's self-righteous. I'd say my biggest problem is being tolerant of the irrationally self-righteous. I *know* that it's not good for me to feel contempt for the, but I do anyway. Racism offends me. Minorities b****ing about "the man" or making excuses all the time offends me. People in the workplace with degrees that think they know more about what I do more than I do simply because they have a degree offends me (until I put them in their place and make them my neighboring cubicle b****). Danny Ainge As I turned on the Jazz/Lakers game I caught the tail end of a discussion b/w John Thompson and Danny Ainge. In this discussion they were talking about exciting teams to watch and I think the Rockets came up. Thompson proceeded to explain how he enjoyed watching such exciting basketball. This coming from a well-respected coach now. Granted, sometimes I disagree with the guy. Anyways, Ainge then decides to contribute his two cents by making asinine comments about the Rockets style and that it's only exciting if you like isolation plays. This was totally unnecessary and definitely rubbed me the wrong way. For the sake of this post I hope he was referring to the Rockets. Did anyone else hear this? I am not the kind of guy to get "offended". infact i never use the word to describe my feelings. THIS pisses me off though. since the origional post was inthe context of the BBS i will respond in saying that posters that say they are offended with momments by bla bla, bla. but will never say exactly who they have a bef with. they will say. some posters.. or it was stated... or something like that.
