This thread is PATHETIC! These guys are great and would amazing if we could get other fans as into it as they are. They really do get the rest of the crowd pumped up! Thank you red rowdies! As far as a loyal fan group here in Houston goes, no one beats the bullpen.
Is it starting to get too cold in Houston or something? I know GARM complaining is usually a 7 level but its a noticeble 8.5 now, for no reason at all. So you put a 3 year Red Rowdies bunch against teams that have some of the most long time devoted legions of fans worldwide? What do Red Rowdies have to do to be "geniune", make noise when "appropriate"? That would be a weak kinda "Rowdy" I'm sure if the Cameron Crazies at Duke were the ONLY ones cheering at the games and the other 10,000 not, they'd look forced. In comparison to the people not doing a darn thing but sending text messages about what to bring home for dinner.
I sat with the rowdies in the very beginning as well. that was a terrible season in 2005-2006 and the rowdies did a hell of job. I can tell you this much. I have had season tickets for the rockets since they moved into Toyota Center. The rowdies are the best thing that has happened to that building. The passion and committment they bring to every game is unmatched. I have never been able to go on a road trip with the rowdies but have have attended some of the games on the road when the rowdies have gone. My wife's family is from San Antonio so I usually attend the Rockets Spurs games in SA. I never had so much fun chanting with rowdies as we exited the AT &T Center after trouncing the Spurs on December 22, 2007. The Rowdies were loud and proud that entire game. Carry on Rowdies. I sit in Section 114, row 28 and every year my rep offers to move my seats, but I always say no. You just cant beat sitting with the rowdies. Think twice chump befor you diss the rowdies on this board.
Hey any RR Fan reading this keep doing what your doing. Its half assed fans like this thread starter that real fans find so annoying. The atmosphere is so dead it heartens people like me to see fans who at least attempt to show enthusiam.
I hate the ****ing Red Rowdies. Don't care where the were birthed or why...just don't like their obnoxious nonsensical cheering. If anything they should be spread throughout the stadium to help get different areas into the game. Right now they are just annoying and ridiculous. I personally hate when they are shown on TV because it makes us look just plain silly as a fan base. I've been a die hard fan all my life and hate the Rowdies. Not enough of the lower deck ever shows up, and that is what makes our crowd participation seem so low. A group of randomly thrown together clowns that ruin the game for everyone in their section isn't going to help.
Nope, I like the Rowdies. It's the ones that arrive late, stay in the club and barely watch the game while having lower bowl tickets that I hate. I wish only that those tickets went to true fans.
Why is this thread still open??? Look, I was at the game on Wednesday night against the Mavs and I sat a few rows behind the Rowdies. I could only wish my whole section was even half as loud as they were - maybe it could actually give us a "home court advantage". BTW, V for Vendetta guy is awesome. Shout out to my boy Chris (who is a Red Rowdy).
I like them but I admit i either sit right by them or totally avoid them. My friend took someone to the game and got stuck right behind them. They held up signs all game and he couldn't see anything.
TRU i went to 1 game only and i was sittin rite in front of them and thts the only reason i was screaming crazily they truly help
I say, move them to the lower bowl for the next few home games and see what happens. If the atmosphere doesn't get better then, we need to lower ticket prices in the lower bowl.
remember the first few years how you could hear the rowdies on tv. you can still hear them, but it's not as loud...
