A younger me might have said no, but with how hard it's been for us to land any legitimate talent, I'm at "lock them the eff up" mode even if Harden isn't the most ideal max player.

Not really. Harden is just as young.

I'm nervous because he's never been the guy, but I can't help but be excited. If Eric Gordon gets the max, then I can be happy with Harden getting it.

Props to Morey. Thank you for proving me wrong. I love this trade! Harden is going to be our superstar and is going to take so much pressure off Lin. I Love this:grin:

Kind of funny how in other thread it was 50-50 and after we got him its 70-30.

According to this article, even tho Harden is being played max dollars, he is STILL underpaid.

So here are the 10 most underpaid players in 2012-13 based on the measures we're using.

    1. James Harden, Rockets, worth $17 million, being paid $5.8 million, $11.7 million surplus

    2. Stephen Curry, Warriors, worth $13.9 million, being paid $3.9 million, $9.9 million surplus

    3. Chandler Parsons, Rockets, worth $10.6 million, being paid $888,000, $9.7 million surplus

    4. Ty Lawson, Nuggets, worth $12 million, being paid $2.5 million, $9.4 million surplus

    5. Kemba Walker, Bobcats, worth $11.7 million, being paid $2.4 million, $9.3 million surplus

Value added: Late draft picks, cheap veterans the most cost-effective producers in the NBA

Harden is not being paid the max now. He's paid $5.8M based on rookie scale. His max extension kicks in next season. And this list is a ****ing joke if it doesn't have Lebron James on it.

Yes, I would have a big problem with giving Harden the max since I don't have that kind of money.

But I have no problems with Le$ giving him the max. Been a long time coming since we have someone to call our superstar.

CBA sorta screws NBA players. Lebron complained about how much SAC was worth but that players were forced to agree to the CBA. Jordan had the same issues, Bulls never really paid him what he was worth. From what I understand that's why he gave up basketball, to go into baseball. You know to make the REAL money, AROD money.

the fact that this poll is 70% for to ~29% is disgraceful.

i thank the basketball gods every day that we were somehow able to get a star player like harden without tanking.

It's a list of "late draft picks and cheap veterans." LeBron does not qualify but once they place Harden on top of the list, it lost all its credibility!

Wish someone with an account would comment on that.

Based on his play now I have NO problem with Harden getting max money. But based on our recent history (read: Tmac and Yao) I am fearful for an injury.

Harden plays hard and all out, and thus far has played through injury. I fear the toll it may have on him. But hey if DWade has lasted all these years going all out and is still able to be a good player in his 30's then we have at least 5 - 6 years of this Harden to go...

    Looking forward to it.
