If you have a guy who has one won playoff series his entire career in your franchise's top 5 players of all time, doesn't say much about the franchise.

It's debatable if Yao is even in the top ten.

You guys are idiots, I know Yao has been injury prone and hasn't lived up to expectations, but you're comparing Yao, who has always been the team focal point, to Dreams role players.

The top 5 is clear cut, no Yao (i got him at 6 or 7 with clyde)

    Dream
    Moses
    Murphy
    Rudy T
Hayes (all of his teams were terrible and you guys don't seem to mind)

    but after the top 5
Other than Drexler, who could be 6, you guys are comparing him to a bunch of role players. I watched Yao, and I watched Horry, Elie, Smith, Maxwell, without dream those guys are just good NBA Players.

Sam Cassell ended up being a great player, but he was only good in Houston

If you guys seriously think all of the players on the 93-94 team were better than Yao, you guys are too far deep in the hate to be reached.

Can't believe I forgot Rudy T. Replace someone with him. And put Horry on there, too.

Looking at the Franchise records I see four that come to the top clearly:

Hakeem - franchise most pts, rebounds etc.
    Calvin - franchise assist leader
Moses - single season pts and rbs leader
Otis - franchise FG% leader (beyond stats, we have no rings w/o OT)

***If coaching counts too then Rudy is clearly top 5 as well***

After those four you can make arguments for number of guys. I would say minimum of 5 years on the team to qualify so that pushes Clyde off (3.5 years), Horry, Cassell, Barkley (4 years).

Robert Reid is a great Rocket and a fan fav but doesn't have outstanding stats and Sampson had a declining 5 year run.

So IMO we are down to Ming, Rudy, Hayes, and Francis for the last spot.

Am I wrong? Who did I miss?

Don't summary Sampson, he got hurt really bad in Boston and pretty much ended his career after that.

    Twin towers forever

I don't know If u left Current Players (Yao) because there career is not over and they may improve there ranking later on ..

Or your a clutch city homer i mean how many games/seasons did Horry and Cassell play yes they contributed to the consecutive championships .. But lets be reasonable Yao has been the face of this franchise for almost a decade .. He's 2 time all nba second team and a 3 times all nba third team he didn't play off the one the greatest centers of all-time he was the centerpiece for an average team with less than average supporting cast ..

I cant imagine what he could of reached if he wasn't so injury prone ..

Ralph was better than Yao, it's not a stretch in the least. The problem is he only had 2 healthy seasons before injuries destroyed his career. Unlike Yao, Ralph never had a prime of his career and could never get healthy once he was hurt whereas Yao has been able to come back full strength after each injury.

He has never regained the form he had in 2006 after breaking his knee. He was close to 27/10 that year.

His numbers outside of scoring were just as productive the next season, in fact his minutes per game went up after that season. It's just that Adelman didn't run the offense through Yao the way Van Gundy tried to do. His drop in scoring had nothing to do with any injuries.

Yao's career moment, trash talking the Clippers. That speaks for itself.

Yes his minutes went up drastically (ahead of a stress fracture). It is just a feeling I have from watching the games but it seemed like he was never dominant like that again. It could have been coaching or situations.
