That word is no different than n**ger, spic, kike or any other hate speech. Not trying to turn this into a D&D thread. Only asking you politely not to use it and asking others to help me in politely enforcing an end to the use of hateful and bigoted language here.
Sorry Batman, I've reported posts with that word multiple times with nothing changed. Seems like that's ok here. ps not that there's anything wrong with that?
Some parts of Northern NJ are absolutely beautiful. I'm thinking of areas like Summit, Montclair and Milburn, NJ. These are also some of the richest areas in the nation. Other towns like Hoboken and Jersey City have a great appeal to those who want to live close enough to NYC, but away from the rush of the city. From Hoboken and Jersey City, you are literally 5 minute PATH train away from Manhattan.
NJ is an interesting state. I grew up in a suburb about 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia, the bottom third of the state is much more Philly-influenced. Typically people who rip on Jersey either have never visited or have only seen the view from the NJ Turnpike. A lot of the suburbs are really nice, most Philadelphia athletes live in Jersey (I'm four houses down from McNabb, if that's worth anything). And it's tough to argue with the convenience of being such a short distance between NY and Philly (if you're an 'east coast' kind of person, anyway).
NJ is NOT a part of NY. NJ is what you have to drive through to get from NYC to Philadelphia. NJ sucks so much that it is a treat to go to NYC. In fact, if they are going to or have just visited NYC, they say "I'm going to the city this weekend, or I just got back from the city". This implies that there are no cities in the state of NJ worth mentioning, so much so that NYC is simply known as "The City". And when NJ folk come into NYC to party, you can spot them from a mile away because they act like credit card millionaires and they wear tight plastic clothing. (google: bridge and tunnel crowd) The only people who openly say they love NJ were born and raised in NJ. ok i'm done.
Kinda like OKC. Took me a day or two to figure this one out because I had no idea what 'city' people were referring too.
