Give me a freakin' break. Seriously? He smokes while he plays? Besides being a bad example for kids, unhealthy for himself, and showing disrespect for a game... he... well, that's just about it, I think.

Sport? WTF. Get in a cart and go to the next hole? Seriously. How can you call that a sport?

Someone told me that the same FATSO in the photo complained that someone sneezed in the "gallery" and made him injure his own shoulder 'cuz he didn't swing the club correctly. Give a damn brake, you wuss.

Add to that the fact that Tiger Woods says "it's those camera phones..." before his swing... what a bunch of pansies.

If golf is not a sport, neither is the batting aspect of baseball. Both require timing, precision and power. So golfers smoke when they play... baseball players would chew tobacco to enhance concentration. Golf is a sport that requires alot of concentration, so small noises from the gallery can be critical in messing up a follow through.

The main objective for the batter is to make clean contact with the ball. A golf swing requires clean contact 100% of the time and you have to consider they are aiming for a specific range.

So if MLB switched to Tee-ball the fans would have to be quiet?

If home runs could be accurately hit off a tee within 10 feet of a target 400+ feet away, then yes, baseball would be more of a sport then golf.

Uhhh...so does baseball, batter's main objective is to hit the baseball in the fair play areas of a park outlined by foul lines.

...yeah, they can take a walk, and or that stupid uncaught 3rd strike rule that happened between the White Sox and Angels a few years ago.

Alright, but what exactly are you trying to say? What makes baseball more of a sport than golf? Both cater to the out of shape, corporate types. ;)

I'm SO SORRY... I forgot that pitchers and outfielders need a CART to get from one place to the other... SORRY, man.

Just admit it: you use GOLF as an excuse to get away from your house and drink a beer with the guys. It's a HOBBY. You might as well bring a TV and chips to the golf course, and watch something else while your buddies are taking their "swing."

Just don't turn up the volume too much or the pansies will lose their "concentration" on a swing.

    Competitive game.....not a sport.....IMHO....

You need to have at least 2 players competing directly against each other to be a sport..

If you have a ball they both need to be using it...in some form or another.

You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about my friend.

While a lot of everyday golfers aren’t in soccer/football shape, there are many 'professionals' that are....mentally and physically in great condition. Takes a little skill bro. The pros don’t drive a cart during a tournament either.

    :D    ;)

Maybe I can take you out for a round one day? If mama lets you get away. :p

Yeah, they do use carts, you liar :p ... and I never said it doesn't take skill. I am just tired of these PROs saying "hey! Someone sighed while I swung my club! Kick him out!" You won't see this in any other sport.
Yeish. We have to talk to mama. I only get ONE REAL SPORT per weekend, and soccer has the slot. Maybe GOLF will qualify as a "hubby hobby"? :(

They also have a caddy carry their clubs. Can you imagine Barry Sanders having had a caddy carry the football for him during a game?
