Very good points. I'm sure one can argue that bottled water isn't necessarily "better" for you, but depending on where you live it sure as hell does taste better IMO. Houston tap water isn't that good. I'm paying for something that tastes better, the same reasons I pay for folks to prepare food if they can do it better than me, etc. And I have been in some places where the tap water tastes downright pathetic...i.e. West Texas.

If you are gonna buy bottled water, Ozarka would be the one brand NOT to buy, it tastes worse than tap water

I like bottled water cause i just think it tastes better. My roomate always just uses water from the sink in the dorms but it just tastes awful. Not all tap water is like this but the tap water in my dorm has a horrible aftertaste

I drink it. It's convienient and cheap as hell. Sure, I could recycle the same bottle over and over and over again, but I just don't feel like it.

It's like $.000005 for 48 bottles these days :). Plus I just like the feeling of having water bottles in the fridge instead of going to fill up at the ozarka machine or the (shudder) faucet.

The poll is a bit vague. I think everyone buys bottled water if its the only thing available. Tap water varies from source to source, age and condition of pipes, ect ... I generally do not drink straight tap water from older homes just because it tastes bad, but I will cook with it or make other drinks with it.

By far of any water, pumped mountain well water tastes great straight from the faucet.

No mention here of the stark difference b/t mineral water and purifed water.

Dasani, I agree is a scam. It is simply purified tap water.

Fiji, Evian, Volvic, Vittel, etc are all from natural spring wells and contain entirely different mineral content and pH. They are also devoid of the toxins and pharmaceutical runoff typical of most municipal water supplies.
