Brita. Plus I live in NYC so I get free Xanax for every gallon of tapwater I drink. Wall Street crash, what Wall Street crash???
I drink regular tap. I reuse a 1 gallon jug of water and throw it in the fridge. I drink ozarka water from a bottle at work because they buy it. The only time I had an abundance of bottle water was during the hurricane, I had so much that I'm finally getting rid of it. I was still drinking cold tap water from my fridge with 5 cases of bottle water sitting in the next room!!!
So according to responses, most people do not buy bottled water, yet there are more votes for Yes? Me thinks people are embarrassed that they are being scammed.
a couple of times i have used the same bottle for about 6 months. (yeah the same bottle) until i read online that the type of plastic they use breaks down and is only meant for one time use and can put carcinogens in the water. a few times i wouldnt assume would be a problem.
I drink tap water. Bottled water for the most part is the same. I never buy a single bottle by itself (who wants to pay over $1 for a 20oz water?). I used to buy the 24packs of Sams Choice water for $4, to have when I would go somewhere and for guests. It isn't worth the fridge space anymore to do that.
Your gonna get the AIDS. lol I would think most people and their immune systems could fight off any bacteria or germs that build up in a used water bottle. But, I certainly wouldn't re-use water bottles over several days with kids or old people. I also wouldn't just rinse it out day-after-day but, rather, wash that sucker with hot water and soap...maybe even put it in the dishwasher top shelf. Just the thought of re-using water bottles is gross though...given crap from your mouth backwashes into the bottle. Eww.
A friend of my father's was telling me he doesn't trust the city tap, so he'd drink the rain water that pooled in his boat. That a boat-full of rain-water could last him a couple of weeks and would be all natural. If you think re-using a water bottle can get you sick, imagine what Houston rainwater laying stagnant in a boat for a couple of weeks would do to you.
More like Frugally FrugalBastard. Nothing wrong with that! My folks have one of those at their house and I always drink the crap out of it when I'm there. I don't have a problem with paying $0.35/gallon for some good clean water. That's a lot more reasonable than paying $1 for a 20 oz. bottle if you ask me. Like fadaway says, I've always suspected that bottled water isn't any different than tap water. I'd be interested in getting more information about that.
I buy the gallon jugs of spring water, but not individual smaller bottles of water. The taste of spring water is much better and softer than the taste of tap water from what I have experienced.
I assume you have scientific statistics on this? I could easily say "People who don't drink plain ol' tap water tend to have giant bugs in their arse." Not that I'm picking a side...
