I haven't read any of this threas as I know I'll end up getting in a huge arguement or whatever, but here is my reply to the first post- All coorelations of being injured. And BTW, yesterday he was terrific defensively despite the injury...very active with his hands and causing some problems for Orlando. Of course he would have...because then he wouldn't have been a liability offensively. In close games players are taken out with injury because they cannot benefit the team while playing hurt. T-Mac was simply not himself yesterday, and was not helping the team...they played just as good/better without his injured self/
I'm beginning to see why you cannot comprehend correctly. I didn't say an MRI was treatment I said I don't see what the hub bub is about not getting an MRI. Then I said if he wants to do treatment first (which is what he said), and see if the knee responds, then there shouldn't be all of this hub bub about that either. Are you reading the same thread?
All of the "hub bub" is about him not wanting to seriously address what he claims is preventing him from either playing at all, or playing effectively. Would you finally admit he's acting like a drama queen if he got an MRI and it revealed no damage?...because you can tough it out if it's just a bruise, which if it's the case he's not doing. Or if he had an MRI and it revealed a signifigant problem, then would you admit that he's an idiot for not addressing it earlier and letting it linger on. It's one of the two. Let's address it, put an end to it and move on. The point is, the way he's approaching his "injury" is DIRECTLY leading us to this discussion.
A contrast to alston's outlook when playing with an injury. "I would love to play normal minutes, be out there on the floor, do what I can to help the team. I'm going to play at full speed. I'm not going to be cautious, try to push the tempo, get after it defensively and play the game." http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/5392673.html
By the way, he claimed at one point the "injury" he's going through happened in the Dallas game...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnndddddd then later said that it's been bothering him for weeks now. Which is it?
Oh so you do know that MRI is not a treatment. I have to say you are more intelligent than I thought. Back to the topic. Why would someone refuse a diagnostic tool like MRI to find out the cause of his injury, and then find the right treatment? Was he worried about that the MRI would tell something?
He doesn't want to get the MRI because look at guys like Amare and Oden...they felt minor pain in their knees, and got their knees looked at for small cleanings and whatnot...low and behold, they'd be out the following season with microfracture. I guess T-Mac feels that if he is cautious enough with the injury now that he won't have to head for that kind of surgery, which is what everyone would urge him to get if he took the MRI and bad damage was found. BTW, to your latest post, he said the fall in Dallas aggravated a minor injury that has been lingering for 2 weeks.
herm He said he was getting treatment. That's not playing around with the injury. You're just upset at his approach. You can disagree, and I do too, but you can't tell the guy what to do, and get mad if he doesn't do it your way. I've said he's acted like a drama queen before in the post you first asked me this, so please stop acting like we're sitting here like the 3 blind mice. I just see alot of so called fans piling on in everything, so lets keep it real and call it like we see it. Not just this thread but tons of threads popping up as a result of losses. I've seen you post the same thing in more than one thread when that's really not necessary unless you felt like one thread wasnt enough for YOUR post to resonate enough of your Tmac outrage.
And you really, honestly believe all of what you just said? It doesn't ever cross your mind that what we suggest could in fact have some merit? You don't at least see my/our point? You seem to be speaking off of assumptions just the way that TMac "haters" are claimed to. Or is it because you've decided to support the guy no matter what that he's getting the benefit of the doubt from you 100% of the time?
I'M the one speaking off assumptions?!? You guys are the ones claiming a consperiacy that T-Mac doesn't have an injury and that he quits games at halftime when he doesn't play well. You are dismissing the man's own words and the opinions of his trainers that the guy is injured, mostly because of statements he made that he lost passion and didn't go 100% when his team won 19 games 4 years ago. If the man says he's hurt, and from my 2 eyes I could CLEARLY see he was not himself last night and was not helping the team by playing, then I believe that he is hurt. It's just that simple.
SNKT So now that we've narrowed it down, you really do see our side. You just choose not to support it and focus on defending the guy. Fair enough. Maybe you're just upset with my/our approach. I personally think he's stupid...if he's really and truly hurt...to NOT figure out what the real problem is. It's obvious he's hurting his team...and if he keeps up what he's doing and stays the course, he'll just have a built in EXCUSE all year. I'm glad you're not as blind as we originally thought and you admit that he's a drama queen at times. And as for your posting on different threads comment. I've tried to keep my "outrage" to the same few threads...so please shut your mouth. You choose to come on these same threads and argue the same points against me and others, so that seems fairly hypocritical for you to say.
Yes, you are. If we are speaking off of assumptions that he's not hurt, then you're speaking off of assumptions that he is hurt. His actions and words wreak of ambiguity, and that's why people are taking one side or another. So yes, if I'm making assumptions, you are too. I can clearly see that he wasn't himself last night too. But the cause of why he wasn't himself is what's being debated. And if he wanted to put it all to rest, just get an MRI. "It's that simple."
No, I think that as Nitro's last post stated, you guys are jumping the gun and claiming what others are doing, you yourself do, yet you don't see that. Nevermind nobody called you a hater, but you for whatever reason against your own took that personal and decided that its your mission to lambaste anything not agreeing with you, whether its Tmac, a poster, a post, or anything else. Some people on these boards sound like a bunch of women, crying after every loss, whining for trades, asking for Kobe and then there are the windwalkers. Let's see what his treatment does, then see if he takes the MRI. We can talk then. Until then continue on your mission following Dada into contradiction hades.
Wrong. I see crystal clear what I'm doing. Calling it like I see it. Like I said, if he shows up and gives it his all, I will be all over these boards with praise, even if he misses 25 GOOD shots. That's not contradiction. That's commenting on the current state of what we see on a game to game basis. And you're wrong again...I have been called a hater on these threads by the people that defend the guy. All I'm doing is saving you some time so you don't have to respond with things like "man, this tmac hatred is getting out of control." I get that all the time. By nipping it in the bud we can move past that and get on to the real issues that we disagree on. The bottom line is that (especially) lately his actions, his words, and his body language wreak of ambiguity. They leave room for interpretation. That's why people are on different sides of the fence.
And my side has the word of the actual guy that is injured, his trainers, and actually seeing the guy with my 2 eyes on the basketball court last night. When T-mac is playing lazy, it is a general demenour that he has that you can tell if he is coasting. Last night the guy was really trying, which was evident in how unusually hard he was trying on defense. But he had no explosion, no lift on jumpers, and no lateral movement...he simply wasn't helping the team by staying on the court, and the trainers and coaching staff knew this and pulled him. When it comes to injuries, only the person who is injured can tell you just how bad it hurts. He says it hurts, his trainers say it doesn't look good, his teammates knew he was not himself well before the game started...I mean, c'mon now, it is ridiculous to make these kinds of assumptions. Among them- -Not hurt that bad. -Quits games because his stats suck. -Doesn't want an MRI because it will reveal that he has no injury (which is false because we saw him bang knees and lay in pain during the Mavs game) -Among other assumptions and theories related and non-related to this injury (he dogs it when Alston doesn't play because he wants Steve to look bad, he is trying to lower his trade stock with his bad play, etc...). It's just ridiculous to me. When it comes to injuries, I trust the player who says it hurts and his trainers who says he is not well enough to play over a bunch of people at a fan forum making up rumors based on pretty wild assumptions. And that same MRI could end his career and force him to miss a whole season like it has done with Amare, Oden and Arenas. Getting an MRI isn't about shutting up fans who question his heart, it is a personal decision that he should be making with his own discretion based on how bad his injury is. None of you are people to criticize that decision because NONE of us knows just how bad it hurts and if he and his trainers think he should go for the MRI.
If it really would end his career or cause him to miss a signifigant period of time...it's going to come out at some point anyway. Better to address it now than for him to keep hurtng his team like he did last night, and letting that built in excuse linger on longer than it needs to.
laugh out loud. Are you trying to show us that the best way to concede a debate gracefully is by saying that the other said can't read? Once again, this is my last post. Either man up to reply to it or just keep your mouth shut.
I was gonna rant for a bit, but you girls give me a headache. So I'll keep it short. 1.) Of coarse Tracie is hurt, would you expect anything else when the pressure to win is on? 2.) I hope he sits for a week or two, to give this team a chance to grow around Yao. As at the end of the night, it'll be Yao leading this team into the future not Tracie. 3.) This team will play better and plays better, has more fight than having Mcgrady in the line up, as do too his "turn it on anytime" and "it's on me" attitude. Yes the "ie" in Tracie is spelled like its meant, without the "y". In my book, it's officially -Tracie "Fools Gold" Mcgrady. You think you have something valuable, but you can't get anything out of it or for it!
