Man...only 53% (at time of post) thinks the Rockets will win? The trademark Blind Fervant Zeal of Rockets fans is waning! We gotta believe (blindly or not)! It's what seperates us from the other primates! (Mavs/Spurs fans)
Honestly, I don't seen how Rox can win this series. The team just doesn't seem to have an answer for both the defense and the offense of the jAZZ. On the defensive end, the Jazz has at least 5 people who can score -- Boozer, Williams, Harping, Fisher, and Giricek. The rockets are just too small and too slow to stop them. There were quite a few instances in today's game that Harping, and Giricek just got around the Rox's defense and got easy layups, and there were at least 2 instances where the Rox intercepted the Jazz's pass but couldn't gain control over the ball and still let Jazz score. On the offensive end, Yao Ming always got pushed out of the paint and had to settle for low % jumpers -- this is on top of the fact that it was already very hard to pass the ball to him in the first place. One thing I don't understand though is why he always waited for the double team to come when he only had Okur guarding him -- is Okur really that tough that Yao cannot score over him? Another thing that puzzles me is that there were so many occasions where Okur bodied up behind Yao and slapped the ball away when someone passed the ball to Yao. Does this mean that Yao just cannot seal off Okur or the other Rox players don't know how to pass the ball? It just seems that Yao Ming brings very little low post scoring threats in this series, and it's just frustrating to watch. Anyway, I also don't see how T-Mac is gonna magically rise up and save the day -- his jumpers just aren't falling. T-Mac and Yao talked about their pick-n-roll before the series started and how powerful it's gonna be -- I've hardly seen any of it in game 4. On the contrary, it felt like that T-Mac got trapped by another player in most of his pick-n-rolls. The Rox role players just don't seem to have the same hustle and confidence as their Jazz counterparts, I see a lot more slashing and penetration from the Jazz role players and almost none from the Rox role players. Sorry to be so pessimistic, I always expect the worst and hope for the best. I think Rox will lose the series 6-2, but I hope that I'm really wrong.
I wish Rockets win, however, looking at how they have played, it is humiliating, and they don't deserve a second round. I am araid they would be humiliated more in the second round if they pass the the first round.
I have no choice. They are the only pro/college sports team in my life that matters. I dog them when they're playing poor, but that's because I care too much and most importantly, this team is way better than their last 2 games.
I picked I don't know, because i honestly don't know. I thought we would win at the end of the season, but now it's up for grabs. We've been outplayed in all four games. The Jazz shot higher percentages than us even when we won.
Even though they played POORLY in last 4 games, they still can win this series if they GROW some balls.
If you think back just about a week ago the experts were saying this will be a 7 game series. If this is so and each team can hold serve then the holder of the HOME COURT ADVANTAGE, COMES OUT THE WINNER!!
I thought Rockets could win in 5-6 games. But after watching Yao playing in first 4 games, I don't think he fully recovered. He could't even take Okur one-on-one. (Does anybody have stats about how he played against Okur before the knee-injury? My impression is Okur is a piece of cake to him.) No way Rockets can win with a 80% Yao + heartless TMac. Well, unless the calls are hugely in favor of Rockets, like those Mavs got in 04-05 series against Rockets.
I believe they will because they have to. If the Rockets blow this series, T-Mac's fragile ego may never recover.
All you guys who voted NO, get your FAKE ROCKETS FAN SORRY ASS OUT OF HERE... Tired of your stupid crying and complaining... Even if things arent looking to good for our Rockets, root for them not talk all this stupid mess. Fake ass Rockets fans get the crap out of here.
Yep... we've gone 0-4 so far on three point shooting. 2 out of 7 will happen, and we will win both of those games.
I am tired of the bipolar tendencies of TMAC. He might feel like playing one quarter, or one half, or one game...but at the same time, he might feel like doing nothing sometimes. I love TMAC when he tries, I despise him when he doesn't.
