A source close to the Miami organization has confired the Lebron James is considering coming to Houston when he becomes a FA at the end of the 13-14 year. In order to get cap Lin and Asik will be given away for a song and a dance . However, the big news is that Parsons will also go when he asks for a $30 to 40 million contact for 3 years. My source said that this is the grand plan as Houston will dominate the NBA with Harden, Dwight and James.Beverley will be starting point guard as Morey's figures have him as a future star. Mchale accidently spilled the beans when he told Beverley that "the sky is the limit" when Beverley asked him about his futures. He also said to Beverly during the exit interview that he will be playing major minutes this year. BTW Mchale also told A brooks during his exit interview that he is the best player he has ever coached. Now brooks is rehired. Brooks may well replace Beverley as the starting PG when Beverley has his breakout year this year and demands a stars salary when the time comes A team can"t payout four max salaries.
My source is a stat geek that works for Morey. I can't reveal more. Sit tight. If mor info comes my way I will give cluthcfans the info first.

    +1 I wanna see that. :D

You should use multiple accounts repping different sources to verify each other. "An unhappy Asik for Lamb, Martin and Thabeet!"

I do not foresee Asik or Lin being moved until next summer at the earliest for a couple of reasons.

The last four teams standing in the playoffs featured stable cores. And there is a very good reason for this. Players who play together for long periods of time understand how best to play with their teammates. They develop an offensive and defensive cohesiveness that allow them to play at a higher level. Both the offense and the defense improves as personnel begin to anticipate each other. I believe that Morey completely understands this concept.

Morey probably is not keen on acquiring and paying a third offensive superstar. It is well documented that depending on pace an NBA team shoots between 1.5 and 1.8 shots per minute. Superstars tend to shoot between 0.4 and 0.6 shots per minute. If a team adds an offensive superstar their 0.4 - 0.6 shots per minute must be taken from other players. With 2 other superstars the shots will have to come mostly from other superstars. The 2 prime examples of this are the SAS and Miami.

That is not to say that Morey would not move Asik and Lin in a New York minute if a steal of a trade comes along. But barring that I would expect the Rockets roster to change slowly over the next couple of seasons.

We don't know how credible you are. Maybe you can state more specifically what your source is.

I don't think he is at liberty to say, but he privately shared the primary source with me, and I can confirm for you that his information is accurate.

My next question will be "who are you"? Maybe someone like JR can confirm the source better?

I honestly think if anyone actually wanted Lin, he would be gone already. With his remaining contract, Lin is not desirable at all. You simply don't pay big bucks for average PG's.

Sounds good to me. And a reason why I hope Asik stays is because elite defense won over great offense in the playoffs. Teams like CHI, IND, MEM advanced past better offensive teams. They're ranked #1,#2, and #3 in defense and bottom 8 in the league on offense (pts. scored). That speaks volumes.

(someone should make a thread on plugging defensive holes vs. getting another scorer)

I think all players coming to the Rockets, from the moment they're traded/drafted/signed here, has a "available for trade" tag. The only exceptions are Harden and Howard. Parsons probably had his tag taken off when he recruited Dwight here.

Everyone else is still being offered.

Bill Ingram is like Mathloom. Always wrong. This means Lin is staying. At least for now.
