It is not about me in general. My life has been ok. But for some people, life can be hell. For some, life can be heaven.

I think if God did create us, He is more like a parent who abandoned His child after birth. My life may then turn out to be good or bad. If it is good, then I might be thankful. Otherwise, then hateful. Overall, it does seem that it doesn't make sense to worship just for the sake of Him created us.

First of all, my God hasn't abandoned me. I see His work in my life all the time, but then again, I'm looking for Him. ;) But more than that, he gave me some really good instructions on how to live my life. If I use those instructions, no matter what my situation, it tends to get better.

i believe in humanity, in its capabilities to achieve greatness and beauty, to dance with the sublime. i also believe we're capable of grave injustice. i believe none of this has to do with god. i try to do the best that i can and hope that others do the same. when music, art or an act of courage or kindness moves me to tears of joy, that is as close as i come to a "religious". i can't do any more than that.

Well, I suppose we are both lucky person. But I know of enough unlucky persons that I couldn't call God as someone who should be worshipped.

I thought God gave you free will? How could God choose you but not someone else? Was it God's plan for YOU or did YOU decide for yourself?

There could very well be god(s) who created the universe. However, I do not think god(s) is any of the Gods being worshiped by the various religions in the world today.

Exactly. Now I do understand completely the argument that because the universe(s) is so complex, it must need a creator. But that really begs the question of who created the creator(s)?

If the universe is so complex, the creator(s) must necessarily be as complex or more complex than the universe. If the creator(s) are so complex then they must also need creator(s) themselves by the same logic. So there must be an infinite progression of creator(s).

Most people will just say that the creator(s) existed for all eternity and never needed to be created. But this is no different than saying the universe(s) existed for all eternity and never needed to be created.

In the end, we don't know and may never know but the logic that that the universe needed a creator(s) while the creator(s) themselves don't need creation is a complete logical inconsistency.

Except that the universe that we live in has an origin.

We don't really know that. Perhaps the universe as we can see it is but only a subset of some larger reality. Or perhaps the universe oscillates between big bang or big crunch. Or perhaps it only appears that the universe has an origin when it really doesn't.

In any case, none of these things says anything about there being deities or not. And any argument that deities need to exist as creators is logically inconsistent with the the followup argument that dieties themselves don't need creation.

nothing created it. God isn't a thing to be created by rather a concept.
