You're taking the Utah loss a little hard, aren't you? We can still beat them without home court advantage.

Nope, but I respect those that do, with a caveat... I don't respect extremists, who believe anyone that doesn't buy into their particular belief system is evil and doomed to go to "Hell," or the equivalent.

There is no randomness or accidents. Everything is based on cause and effect.

Not according to most organized religions.

You can believe in some kind of higher being without going to church

But this also applies to many regular believers. Don't ordinary Christians believe that the only way to be saved from going to Hell is to accept Jesus as their Lord and personal savior?

Ask Max. I'm not sure he would agree.

I'm not really sure, but I'm leaning to no, since I've never seen any proof to the contrary.

i wouldnt say its dumb - it is a good insurance policy!

i believe in a greater power, but i dont know if i believe in the concept of heaven w/ st. peter waiting at the gates for you.

i dont think god is a physical being sitting up on a cloud in heaven, but a single consciousness which permeates everything and everyone. i think when you die you become part of the universal consciousness - you are everything, yet nothing, daniel-son.

as for organized religion - it is man-made and imo, a scam used to control people. i think god would be very disappointed to see how religion has divided people and caused so many wars over the course of human history.

I know you didn't mean it like this, but.

That is not the reason to believe in a god. I think that if there is a good and he cannot see the difference between people who trully believe in him and people who believe in him to avoid Hell, than it is a really stupid god :D.

I don't know if there is a God or not. But He is indifferent to us, so why should we worship Him?

Even if He created us, we didn't ask Him to be created, so again why should we worship Him?

Whaaa? Are you upset that you were created? Are you only thankful for things that you ask for?

Why would you think otherwise? Can you tell me what he did recently that gave us happiness or pain?

There are far more concrete persons you should worship, e.g. your parents assuming they did their job.
