Should Batman be traded?

  1. Yes! All he does is stand there, making our offense stagnant!

i think Mr.batman should be traded to get more greater player.
eg.Ron artest is good a defenser, even more aggresive and powerful than shane in defense part.and most important he is a sword that can provide help to rockets.i also think Mike miller is another player rocket need the most.

i would not trade him for a top PG, not even for Chris Paul.

yes i am serious. Reason being that rafer alston as the PG is way way way much better than having luther head as your starting SG, while Tmac slides in at SF.

And players like SF3, Bjax, and mike harris as your SG/SF subs.

And except for a trade for a Lebron, Carmelo, wade, kobe....superstars at max contact, all other trades like artest/miller is lateral moves, at best a slight improvement.

Shane should not be traded at all.

Especially not for Artest. Basketball is a team sport and team chemistry is extremely important. Having Artest on our team and causing problems off the court is not worth the extra points he puts up. Shane is a coach's dream and an ideal teammate, everybody likes to play with him. Artest is on the opposite end of the spectrum.

I don't know why everyone is complaining about how Shane is not a reliable 3rd option on offense. He's not meant to be an offensive option. Furthermore, we don't need Shane to be a 3rd option. That's why we have Luis Scola and Rafer Alston and such. Shane brings excellent defense, enthusiasm for the team and 3 point shooting. The 3 point is a big part of our game. Trading away Shane and getting Artest will make our already inconsistent 3point shooting this season even worse.

We need to keep Shane. This guy is the ultimate team player and brings to our team much more than can be seen by his stats. It would be a huge mistake to trade him. He brings a boost to our whole team and that matters much more than a few more points a game.

one thing that worries me about shane is that he's deproved(if thats a word) over the seasons...his stats are still much the same sometimes even worse than his rookie season...and he is getting older...

and hes worse at almost every stat than last season...which is quite unusual for someone who is not even 30

anyone else share the same concern?

Shane only makes sense to trade if you are a perpetual lottery team in rebuilding mode (Memphis).

Any team with aspirations of building a core to contend would be stupid to trade him away.

I would trade anybody if I thought the result would be a better team (and the reverse of that)

So how can you say without evaluating who your talking about trading him for.

You probably should have put a "trade him for the right option" option in your poll.

Battier shouldn't be our 3rd option in offense. he's not comfortable and we are asking too much of him. He will be much relaxed if he's the 4th option. which with Scola in the starting lineup, he was great.

This KB24 you speak of has scored above his normal scoring avg against us the past 2 seasons... I'm pretty sure we will do ok with someone besides Battier
