The fact that a bum named Chris Duhon (who's scrubtacularness outweighs Rafer Alston and Luther Head on their worst night) starts over Marbury should be warning enough that something is seriously wrong.

So you would take Luther Head running point?

Your comment may be a little extreme. There are pg's a LOT WORSE than Rafer.

whats a couple weeks of cancer? and the possibilities are way too high not to take the chance, everyone said the same about artest so its BS. Give the man a chance he wants to play badly and put him on a winning team with artest and RA to handle him i dont see what the problem is im sure he hasnt fell off as bad as francis and he would be more than glad to play here. A 20 and 8 guy for 1.2 mil?! you gotta be out of your mind to not take a chance on that, if he messes up your chemistry you seriously don't know how to run a team if a player comes in and ruins your team chemistry for the year if hes only there for a few weeks. Try steph for a couple weeks and keep it going for months then trade steve and rafer for a 7 foot shot blocker near all star break and aaron will be backup point

if he comes super cheap like steve, y not?

if he ends up being a "cancer" we just cut him, simple as that.

if he ends up being awesome like artest, then we just have a even better chance of becoming world champions.

Low risk, high reward. Oh and he's healthy unlike Francis. We can see immediately if he'll work out and if he doesn't no harm done.

P.S. I'm really pulling for Francis but this devastating cold that kept him out and not practicing since (that I've heard at least) is not looking good at all.

In one thread, you defend Rafer. Moments later, in another thread, you support the acquisition of Jokebury and hope for the resurgence of Francis. I don't see how those thoughts can be mutually exclusive. You could argue that Francis should be a backup but we all know it ain't in Jokebury's character to play second fiddle.

We do not need both Francis and Marbury. I'm simply stating if Francis cannot come back then Marbury would be something to consider for back-up. I am in no way saying we should get both in the rotation. Unstable offense at its finest if that were to happen. One or the other for possible spot minutes at pg or sg. This has nothing to do with my argument supporting Rafer.

As far as Marbury's character, people said the same about Ron. If he can put his character in check then he could work out. Ron had the same issue with O'Neal in Indiana. He didn't want to be "second fiddle". For most people, with age comes maturity and so far so good with Ron.

lol, it was never in steve's character to be second fiddle either.

steve is hurt, marbury is healthy, take the chance! :D

for those that are whining about team chemistry and blah blah blah, u guys said the same thing about ron ron, and the team looks awesome so far!

low risk, high reward. if he dont pan out cut em or trade em.

So you are saying that if we sign Marbury, he should possibly get spot minutes at one of the guard spots. Got it.

Give me a break! Chemistry schemistry... if you can pull a player with the upside of Marbury for the min - ya gotta jump on it! Rafer SUCKS! Wherever Marbury goes, he's gotta know it's his last shot - HELL YEH YA GIVE HIM A SHOT! Turns into a cancer - send him home - end of story! Rafer ain't gonna take us to the promised land. Add Marbury with his head on straight... they can mail us the trophy now! Not sayin he would be 'the man,' could easily be a major bust... but for the minimum investment vs the potential return - c'mon, it's a no brainer!

Dallas took a chance getting TO. We took a chance getting Artest knowing his history. I say... why not? Sure he might be a cancer but our overall team chemistry is great and knowing the state of Marbury's current situation, you know he's probably gonna behave. I highly doubt that he would come in an all of a sudden destroy our team. I say we take a risk and get him by trading Rafer if possible and and letting Brooks start having Marbury come off the bench. The Rockets should take the chance to get him if possible and see how it turns out. If theres any slight hint of a problem with him then let his ass go. Simple as that...
