---These numbers are really irrelevant. Keep in mind that for the majority of the season, our 3rd year point guard was the focal point for opposing defenses, nightly! The missing 40 million in salary off the bench thing till february thing played a minor factor as well, as mentioned. BUT, in regards to the general post. I agree that Chris Paul just mayh not be the best point guard.....FOR OUR TEAM. We all know what A.B. brings...No need to go there. Yes, Chris is an upgrade. But, how much of an upgrade really? Is it worth the pics plus our "pieces"? Battier, Hill, Bud, Ariza are expendable. I understand that, but not when your slightly upgrading IMO. cp is the top pg in the game, but he's not perfect for us...if Yao is here. Yao is not going to be ready to receive alley-oops 6 times a night. Chris is not going to hit 3's 2-3 feet behind the arc when Yao is doubled or tripled. Chris, IMO,would be best in OKC, ORL, or POR.
about 20 teams in the league including us need chris paul. lol @ wanting to turn away future Hall of famers
Why would we trade our young, promising players (AB+Hill+Budinger), for older players (Nash+Hill), who on on their downside of their peak? That's makes no sense at all, when we are a younger team.
Do we need Chris Paul? that is just stuipd question, any team expect Jazzs need Chris Paul. Not matter how many words you write next, nobody is interested in reading.
How many rings does Chris Paul have? Yea exactly... obviously every team in the NBA hasn't needed him to win a championship since he's been in the league. Yea, he's a good PG, but he's not gonna put us over the top. We have other needs and PG isn't one of them. If you look at all the past NBA Champions, a Super Star PG hasn't been the key to their championship. The Lakers NEVER had an All-Star PG (Fisher is solid), The Spurs Tony Parker wasn't an All-Star when the Spurs won their championships and Rajon Rondo wasn't the reason the Celtics won their championship a few years ago. Deron Williams won't win any championships as long as he's in Utah. Nash won't win one either. Basically, every Super Star PG in the NBA hasn't won a championship in this era of the NBA and they wont.
