I like a coach who can push Lin to improve on D. His D is average overall. sometimes it looks good but not constantly good. You don't have to hate a good coach to be Lin fan, right? That's ridiculous and illogical.
I think D'antoni is miles better than McHale but with McHale's leave and sick daughter it would look like a dick move on the Rockets' part to fire him within the next few weeks. I'd put this idea in my back pocket though.
why don't we hire Mike Woodson instead, apparently he turned the Knicks around and he's a former Rocket
Yes confirmed. Who else can we get? http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/20945111/report-mike-dantoni-to-be-the-next-coach-of-the-lakers
Dantoni, Nash, Howard and Kobe.... interesting.. Woodson is a good coach with preference for senior players.. with the Knicks doing so well currently, he is very unlikely to leave NY.. Not sure whether he can develop a young team, but the way he turned the KNicks around showed that he is quite good in utilizing players to their strengths..
I wouldn't want Woodson to coach the team. He's a decent coach, but he was outcoached in the playoffs by Eric Spoelstra. Offensively he just isn't that good.
heat won the series becuz they're heat. the best player in nba is playing for him along with their 2 superstars, not about his coaching.
It's easy for Spoelstra to outcoach any one with the team he has...Lebron had Mike Brown win coach of the year... but I agree that Woodson is a decent coach.
Granted last year knicks has injury issues at playoffs and a lack of pg ... But wow, close the thread,Mike D'Antoni is now a Lakers coach.
I don´t think D`Antony would have made the Rockets a winning team because this team must play tough D to win. They need a different kind of coach who can teach and motivate. I like Tom Thibodeau to take the team and see what happens.
Of course he wouldn't. He will probably make Lakers a winning team. It's official for some of you who haven't heard the news. Mike D'Antoni is the headcoach for Lakers.
Woodson didn't turn the Knicks around. Melo turned the Knicks around when he decided to start playing like he should have been when Lin and D'Antoni were there. (And interestingly Amare's absence also helped "turn the Knicks around.")
