    Not suggesting ISIAH!!!
Saying bringing in a legend, as examples not suggestions: Kareem, Hakeem, Russell, Magic...in an small role. Not GM, not even Assistant GM...but part of the Rockets organization. From the article, you can see that even the foolish Isiah has the respect and ear of current NBA players. I don't think we have someone like that. And I think it would be helpful.

    Dream
    Clyde
    Dr J
    Grant Hill
    Oscar Robertson
    Calvin

All would be/will be assets to any organization in some capacity.

imo teams should stop hiring former players for management, the players are good at playing, let those who went to years of school for this, your gut feeling and experience of the game may help you with decisions about players, but when it comes down to the finances and smart executive decisions, seems like most the player gms have fkkkkkked up

If your looking for a spokesman, not necessarily Zic, I would say it doesn't really work. How many FAgents signed or are swayed by a legend to play for a certain team. Superfriends was a booty buddy thing more then any Heat legend and Amar'e was influenced by $$$ since not one single team wanted to give him a max deal.

IF we did something like that, I'd say Kenny Smith would be my guy. Every time the guy gets a chance to bring up the championship teams on TNT he takes advantage.

If only we had someone like Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, Yao Ming, Elvin Hayes, George Foreman and Andre Johnson to help us recruit players.

Olajuwan would be perfect for that role.
