Are we talking about the same Nash that got badly stripped by Collison in the first game of the season? Collison looked like an All-Star compared to Nash, Collison!. I am not saying that Collison is better than Nash, but Nash looks like his drop off is beginning this season. I fell asleep during the Lakers game, because that star-studed team looked like ****, and the biggest pile had Nash on the back of his jersey. I like Nash, he's a former MVP, but the dude is definitely on the decline. Stop living in the past, it's embarrassing.

Mad respect for Nash, but I do think the lakers would be a better team starting Lin Tom instead of Nash just my opinion.

Do you think Lin is better than MVP Nash?

He said that immediate after the loss to the Knicks.

I'm guessing that while they were planning on keying up on Lin, adding Harden makes it a little more tricky... ;)

    Actually, that's incorrect.

    2011/12
Steve Nash - 27.05 Turnovers per 100 possessions
Jeremy Lin - 21.37 Turnovers per 100 possessions

    http://www.hoopdata.com/passingstats.aspx?team=%&type=pg&posi=PG&yr=2012&gp=10&mins=15

Interestingly, here's the list of PG's with higher turnover rates last year than Lin....

    Earl Watson - 32.05
    Baron Davis - 28.09
    Chris Duhon - 27.62
    Steve Nash - 27.05
    Jason Kidd - 24.18
    Rajon Rondo - 22.85
    Ricky Rubio - 22.24
    Andre Miller - 22.03

Of course, details like that get in the way of the "Lin is a TO machine" meme...

Nash has led the league in TOV's for the past 3-5 years. Anybody that says otherwise is either seriously confused or lying. Rondo, Williams, Rubio, Kidd all turn the ball over at a really high rate. Lin turns it over a ton but not as much as those guys.

Anyway, some positives that stood out from Lin last night. There were three things. First was that he throws a good no-look pass--a functional one, not a "pass, then look away for show" one. He never threw no look passes period this last year in NY. Second, It really is impressive how well Lin circles around in the lane while maintaining offensive rhythmic control. We saw this last year as well. He keeps his dribble alive. Something he needs to work on is after he splits defenders not loosing his dribble once he gets that initial penetration. Third, his transition play is much improved. Last year whenever he would run the break he would almost always turn it over. He was a terrible transition player numbers & the eye test back this up. Now he has become a lot more patient in transition, not turning it over & leading his teammates into shots. Harden was impressive last night, but Lin was maybe more impressive. Harden's been killin since ASU so not even surprised by his performance, Lin had the pressure and delivered. Now both of them just have to build up there consistency & chemistry over the season. Kudos to the two of them.

Too early to say they are. However, we know what everyone one of those players are. We know the strengths, and weaknessess of each tandem.

With Harden and Lin, it's all forecasting. Regardless of where they are now, the sky is the limit. That's the most exciting part to me.

Great post. People get so carried away trying to bring him down a peg, they overlook the simple facts. Players who dominate the ball and look to create pass lanes with penetration will generally turn the ball over at a high rate.

From the looks of it, they generally do it at a higher rate than Lin.

Wow there are clearly some trolls here - both supposedly lin fans and Lin haters alike

Harden really good. Lins good but I doubt super good like the top tier pg.

This is Lin first full season where he knows he got the support of the organization.

I say give him time to develop and get better.

Even all players including harden needed time to improve with experience
