Heyp, you're probably right. 4 picks on a team that young is a bit much. I'd have to agree that Vancouver has got something lined up with some of the picks.

Just a thought but....would you do a deal sending Mobley and picks for Payton. (assuming they would do it). I know I'd be tempted.

Where exactly is the confusion heycallaWaaaambulance? Noone has to 'outbid Boston'. More than likely Boston isn't playing the trade up game. Your premise is more than likely unsound.

If you want to add additional statements such as:

That may very well be true.

BTW what is this 'real value'? The real value is what the two consenting teams make of it, nothing more, nothing less. By definition if they agree to the deal, then they saw the deal as desirable.

If it's true that the Grizzlies are in fact talking to the Rockets and the Grizzlies are insisting upon the third pick, I would say that the Rockets do have the power to pull off the deal. So shove it up your ass. [IMG]

3 picks for one means a Center and no SF. bank on that! And Rodney White is a PF.

Pipe that up your dots and smoke it.

Rodney White is a PF... but with skills that would let him play at SF if we also acquire Webber or keep Mo. If we got White... I'd be expecting to win the bet.

And if we get a center, I'll be too happy to give a crap about my monicker [IMG].

At #6 what centers would be there? There's a remote chance of Curry being there. Surely we aren't moving up to get Diop. That's a pretty huge risk. The hair on the back of my neck is standing up from fear of the thought that we are trying to move up and draft a center that could be had much later. Who would that center be? Woods? Hunter? I think I'm sick.

So in the world of heyImadumbass, RudyT drafts Rodney White to backup Mo Taylor? Does he let Mo Taylor go just to keep to your ideal that 238 lb. men are PFs? [IMG]

BTW, I wonder what position that 245 lb. guy Ron Artest plays? Hmmm....

If we get Rodney, there will be a Rudy definitive quote about his role, for sure. That decides the issue. If Rudy says he'll platoon behind Webber at PF and Mo' at SF and be used in a fast, small lineup...then it is a race to see who gets off the bench first to slap hands with the starting SF.

Of course you also know, your opinion does not matter, it is only Crisco's opinion that matters!!!! You are committed to his decision...it is a team effort.

Just being nit-picky, but I heard somewhere that Marbury might not be going to LA.

I we draft Rodney White...I will concede pending the outside hope that we trade him for the veteran center who Webber wants.

No you won't. You will concede when and IF he beats out Langhi.

...big IF, I know, but a chance, nonetheless...

Let's be objective for a second.

We would love to have the Clippers #2....did we have a chance in hell of outbidding New Jersey?

We would love to have Atlanta's #3....did we have a chance in hell of outbidding Vancouver?

So, now we have our sites set on Vancouver "extra pick" at #6...do we have a change in hell of outbidding Boston?

What is our trade bait. I think Cato has zero trade value in this draft of many, many centers. Why take on a project like Cato with his salary and age? imo, our only trade value is the picks, which will likely only move us up 2 spots, or down for value.

We are not trading NJ/Vanc type stars like Mobley/Stevie. Apparently, to move up much, it requires a disgruntled star and/or close proximity picks.
