Honestly no I haven't. But from what I've read and listened to on the radio one of his issues coming into the year was arm strength. And to his credit, everything I hear now is that he's improved. But when you say cannon of an arm I'm thinking either range like Ben or Flacco, or velocity like Vick or Cutler.
I've watched almost every Manziel game. The kid is magic. I think his pro career will look very much like Romo only he won't have to sit years before playing, plus, he will get more positive yardage when he has to pull it down than Romo ever has.

His mechanics look pretty bad to me. Looks like he throws off his back foot way too much. I think he has benefited from having Mike Evans bail him out when he just heaves the ball up. He won't get away with a lot that stuff in the pros.
I'm not even sold on that guy -- he has disappeared in some games this year against better quality teams.
agreed. I'd rather get some protection for keenum, a healthy foster if that's possible now and another safety blanket,TE
Everyone has bad quarters.. Bridgewater is gonna be amazing.. especially if he goes to a team that doesn't abuse him a la David Carr style...
Yeah I think it's only fair to judge him by seasons end. I just don't think he has the pocket passing skill you want from a franchise quarterback, and he can't feel pressure very well.
The troubling thing about Manziel compared to guys like Bridgewater and Mariota is the number INTs he's thrown this season. He's thrown one for every 27.3 attempts which isn't much better than Schaub's 1 INT for every 28.6 attempts. And he's thrown at least one in 8 of 10 games (not counting the game against Rice since he was held out a half and only attempted 8 passes). Compare that to Mariota who just threw his first 2 of the season on Saturday (and the first one wasn't even his fault) and Bridgewater who has 3. Even compare it to Keenum who under Sumlin threw only 5 in 603 attempts his senior year. The most he ever threw in a season was 15, but it was on 700 attempts which works out to one for every 47 attempts. It was against lesser competition, but still.

I expect the Texans will win enough games to miss out on Bridgewater and Mariota, and that means they'll either have to reach on a QB or draft someone else instead.
I'm all for trading down and getting Murray or AJ, and another RB or a LB.. If bridgewater's there then you gotta take him, otherwise trade down! I'm uneasy about Mariota simply because he wears number 8... With a name like Theodore Bridgewater, he's bound to be a hall of fame quarterback. I realize my last 2 points are ludacris.. but stereotypes aren't really blasphemy..
