The "Shoel Creek Saloon" used to show all the Rox's game back when i lived in Austin. Pretty cool place, good food, cheap beer. Not sure if it's still there but i'd check it out.

Aussies is cool, Showplace Lanes is I think called something else now but they do get serious Rockets fans.

Down south (I-35 & 71) the Warehouse Saloon is cool, but if you go there when the Spurs are playing...

Good thread, learning more about where to go other than Shoal Creek...

    Shoal Creek Saloon http://www.shoalcreeksaloon.com/
    Aussies http://www.aussiesbar.com/
    Pluckers (183 & Burnet) http://www.pluckers.net/
    Warehouse Saloon (I-35 & 71) http://warehousesaloon.com/nextindex.asp
    The Tavern on Lamar
Showplace Lanes: Texas Sports Bar Deep in the lair that is Showplace Lanes lives the Texas Sports Bar, a haven for adults, amid a cornucopia of family fun. The Texas Sports Bar has it all and is guaranteed to show every NFL game and then some offered that week on the big screen, for a mere $2 cover, and local darts leaguers gather on a regular basis to compete. There’s a definite Eighties feel to the place, what with the Day-Glo carpet and intermittent fluorescent lighting. The two pool tables are a tad close together, but it makes for some fun maneuvering. Food is served; it’s yer basic burgers and fries, natch. And pitchers are cheap, Jack. Bring the whole gang. Call for drink specials, free-pool-night information, and scheduled events. AMF Showplace Lanes, 9504 N. I-35, 834-7733

The Warehouse on Ben White shows games and usually has a decent amount of Rockets Fans.

So I have to ask...did you like the wing, or did they give you the bird?

I called Time Warner about that and they said that the "preview of league pass" includes previews of games and not the actual games themselves.

Yes, but don't expect to see the Rox on the Big Screen if the Spurs are also playing. The management there will bump the Rox in favor of the Spurs. That's the primary reason that (if I leave the homes' NBALP) I go to Show Place Lanes on I-35. The management there will always put the Rockets on a screen with favorable view. Usually one that you ask for.

I gave the delivery man a nice tip...but he was wearing a Spurs hat and I was wearing a Rockets tshirt so he might given me the bird have after i slammed the door in his face. The wings were ok. :D

I feel your pain. There's a channel 910 which is just a 24-hour-a-day free commercial for league pass, that they might be confusing this with in your case. When I first called, they were trying to convince me that 910 was the preview. Sure, that channel is free, but it's completely worthless and not the Free Preview of League Pass they are supposed to be showing on channels 911 and above. I cleared up their confusion (see my other thread) and I believe we should be able to see the game tonight. If not, I will argue with them some more.
