You are right on. I, as everyone, was kinda peeved after last nights game. After I thought about it though, in reality, we are just not in Dallas' league and that is not necessarily a knock on our team, but a true compliment to Dallas. They played BOTH ends of the court in the 3rd. Dallas was REALLY getting after it on D in the third. They showed they can play some very tight D when they need to. They were disrupting our offensive flow, granted, it usually doesn't take much to do that. Their wing players were all over their place creating havoc. On offense, that was some display of passing they had. I thought our D was not bad for most of the third. Dallas showed great discipline by passing it until they found someone open. The thing that ulimately killed us was, they couldn't miss. They were red hot. Dallas flat out took it to us in the 3rd and showed why they are the superior team. That being said, I do agree with some on here that our defensive philosophy left something to be desired with regards to leaving Finley open. Rudy did make an adjustment towards the end of the quarter and had JP on Finley for a few possessions. I thought it came too late. IMO, when a team flat proves they can beat a particular defensive style that you are throwing at them, then you change it up, even if its not your bread and butter. Rudy made the change, but it was too late by then.
I thought the same thing (that we're better w/ national tv coverage) which would mean, just get us to the playoffs... but we proved me wrong
