Do the Rockets need to sign a 3 point specialist this offseason?

    Ray Allen?

    Steve Novak?

    JR Smith?

    Trade for Daniel Gibson?

I might be missing a few others, but y'all think that the Rockets need to pick up a 3 point specialist this off-season?

Would y'all be fine if the Rockets picked one of these guys this offseason?

I'll also hi-jack my own thread and say that I hope that the Rockets pursue FA Wing CJ Miles as well.

    Go Rockets!

I'd take Allen if he came with KG.

Sorta the exact opposite from what I think we need. No more "live and die by the 3"

No team is complete without the classic 3-pt specialist, who is on the team solely because they are good at threes, contribute in no other way lol.

Every team needs a Matt Carrol or Steve Novak. I would love to see the Rockets sign a guy like that! Put them in to hit a three in certain situations. More serviceable then a guy like Terrence Williams or Johnny Flynn who just rot on the bench.

watt the hell? What we need are men that can rebound. If they're 6'8 maury approved, so be it, but they have to rebound and not play so damn small. we already have enough shooters.

Last season Rockets ranked #9 in the NBA in 3-pt%. This was despite KMart missing half the season and not shooting well anyway when he played. As well as Parsons having a lot of shooting problems over the course of the season.

Courtney Lee and Chase Budinger were ranked 21 and 22 individually in 3-pt%.

Why? They'd only be useful if we were one piece away from a championship team. We didn't even make the playoffs.

We need a guy that can command a double team in the post (other than Scola)

Dragic (or lowry), kmart, lee, bud, and even camby can shoot 3s. That is the last thing we need

if Chase Budinger isn't considered a 3 pt specialist, I'm not real sure what one is.

The boy barely plays D and can nail 3 after 3 with minimal space to shoot.

Out of the many needs this team has, I find it rather safe to say a 3 pt specialist is last on the list.

If we can get a guy like Luther Head hell yeah. The guy could just come in for 10-15 minutes and hit 3 threes easily.

i think we can use a 3 point specialist to come off the bench and spark up the bench.
