To paraphrase Han Solo: Good against the Euroleague is one thing. Good against the NBA, that's something else.

If he's a good enough outside shooter, that would be great, but he only looks quick on those videos because he's playing against guys who don't play D. And look at that 6" of lift he gets on his jumper -- he'll be getting stuffed by AB in practice every day.

I'm all for adding talent, as long as we don't give up key pieces. Any of you who want to part with Rafer -- even for a GOOD point guard -- can kiss the playoffs goodbye. Unless we were lucky enough to get Bibby, the learning curve for a PG coming in would cost us some games and likely put us in the lottery.

I think the only way we can add a third scorer is like ala Lakers we add a s*** load of salary to our cap. Which will never happen. Everyone will want our trash if we were willing to take on bigger longer contracts. Les will never do it of course.

He looks slow in these clips also. Like Scola could beat him off the dribble. Not enough shooting footage/stats to tell one way or the other, but that dribble penetration is NOT happening in the NBA.

I dunno, there are a lot of Euroleague players that could make it in the NBA. Scola can make it and he's not even the best player in the Euroleague.

Draftexpress talks about various possibilities for the NBA.

The top prospect is of course Theodoras Papaloukas but he's 30 yrs old 6'7" pt guard. There is also 6'5" Dimitrios Diamantidis who was a defensive PG specialist. Course after Vspan went back and probably talked crap about us, I doubt any of the Greeks would want to go to the Rockets.

But perhaps this guy who was a Euroleague MVP candidate from Tau. He is an magician with the ball and is a crazy assist man. Since what we need is a great ball handler who can run the team and set up the offense, perhaps someone like Prigioni could help. He used to be Scola's teammate at Tau and is Argentinian. I watched the vid and was pretty impressed with his passing.

    PRIGIONI, PABLO

I've always thought along these lines its like the college game to me. How many people get no pub coming out of high school but dominant in college going on to the pros. The european market has so many players and alot don't get noticed.

In regards to this guy. Sure he can pass but can he shoot. If he can't he's worthless. You have to atleast be a threat offensively.

this is the closest poll i have seen. 82-90 in favour of not having a big 3 player.

I cant see what is there to lose if Rox is to get a 3rd star. Rox have a deep bench of 13 players. All have shown that they can contribute, so having a 3:1 or 4:1 trade does not deplete the entire bench.

But i do not want to see Rox mortgage the future, hence if the trade include AB and/or Landry, i do not support the move.

Oh he can shoot, that's why he was a Euroleague MVP candidate. He shoots at a clip of 42.9% 2 ptrs, and 38.1% 3pt, 94.3 FT

    I like Prigononi's pedigree. He is part of the Argentine National team along with;

He doesn't look like a Ginobili as far as being a slasher but more like a true pg and playmaker along the lines of a Stockton or Nash.

    Guards:

    Carlos Delfino
    Emanuel "Manu" Ginóbili
    Juan Ignacio "Pepe" Sánchez
    Pablo Prigioni
    Daniel Farabello
    Forwards:

    Leonardo Martín Gutiérrez
    Wálter Herrmann
    Andrés "Chapu" Nocioni
    Luis Scola
    Centers:

    Gabriel Diego Fernández
    Fabricio Oberto
    Rubén Oscar Wolkowyski

Well of course it would help to have an extra star...isn't this pretty obvious.

May need to trade one of the big 2 to have a big 3.

    Trade:

    McGrady
    Landry
    #1

    FOR

    Deng
    Hinrich
    Noah

THEN trade Battier, Hayes, Snyder & Alston for Bibby & Artest.

New big 3: Yao, Deng, Artest

Starting 5: Yao, Deng, Artest, Hinrich, Scola

Bench: Bibby, James, Brooks, Noah, Deke, Bonzi, Francis (IR)

Trade Head & Novak (throw in Deke if necessary) to Portland for rights to Rudy Fernandez and future second (plus whatever throwaway salary to make trade work)

Half the people on the board would be yelling for a "fourth scorer" even if we did have a big three.

WTH are you talking about? I don't know what 'teams' like, but I'll tell you what they do.

Almost every other trade is a 2:1 or a 3:1.
