he certainly hasn't been any kind of racial uniter as predicted, that's for sure. He uses race as a wedge issue (Trayvon, for example)
No, he didn't pick up a 200k tab including all security and organizational costs. But I don't care, all rich people party. Not a big deal. What you can't deny is the guest list posted above. I mean does it not bother you he's adding to the divide because of the 'past'. Guarantee mlk would at least have a few white celebs at his wife's party.
Some of the famous names from the guest list (pale and tan faces bolded): Ahmad Rashad Al Roker Alonzo Mourning Angela Bassett Ashley Judd Beyonce Bill and Hillary Clinton Billie Jean King Courtney Vance Emmett Smith Eric Holder Eric Whitaker Gayle King Gladys Knight Grant Hill Herbie Hancock James Taylor Janelle Monae Jennifer Hudson Joe Biden John Legend Kal Penn Kathleen Sebelius Kaye and Wellington Wilson Laura Ricketts Ledisi Magic Johnson Marian Robinson Marty Nesbitt Mary J. I'm terribly bothered. MLK probably would have had a few white celebs if he hadn't been murdered by a white bigot. Definitely.
My disciple, I eagerly await your pitiful attempt at justifying the fact that you called me a white militant. did you go poof?
You mean like Black Joe Biden, Black John Kerry, Black Jack Lew, Black Chuck Hagel, Black Sally Jewell, Black Tom Vilsack, Black Penny Pritzker, Black Kathleen Sebelius... I give you credit. At least you're out there with your racism. And I mean OUT THERE.
I know- I mean, they're not even trying to hide it. You always know when you show a thread like this to people who are normal, middle-of-the-road or apolitical, and intelligent on the topic of race and they say things like, "Wow, those are some racist comments." Shame.
Wow, Trolls not even trying anymore. Im saddened for the rest of y'all. Can't even waste perfectly good sarcasm on crap like this.
Federal executive and legislative guests lists and schedules are more rigidly and strategically crafted than, well, our last two wars. Obama probably has limited control or interest in contacting or booking dozens to hundreds of invitees per event, so they're probably there for some reason other than Potomac Freaknik or a Norman Lear casting call. You may be overestimating the number of commercially, politically and culturally successful and relevant blacks at executive functions because the sight of them there is so jarring to your expectations of individual black achievement.
If I was Michele and I could I'd want to hang with Steve Harvy, Samuel L, MJ, Zo, Magic, Beyonce, Mary J B., Clintons, Grant Hill and a few others on my bday too.
Absolutely not, I take great offense to that comment although in your opinion, the achievements of those in a 13% surely racially dominate the other 87%. Forget about socio economic standing, opportunity, etc. this is just race. BTW, the last picture I tweeted That's called breaking racial barriers. michele would probably be horrified a little beyonce might be raised by a white woman.
Honestly I wouldn't want to hangout with a lot of people on that list... boring politicians... pretentious windbags like Gayle King and athletes from 25 years ago...then there is Steve Harvey.
Well, to be fair, Barack prolly threw a few of those atheletes on the list like it was Michele's idea--more like a bucket list and good for the memoirs So I was chillin at the white house for Michele's bday sippin cognac and smokin a stogie in the oval with MJ, Magic and Steve Harvey....
Seriously, why do you care that a 50 year old black woman invites mostly rich middle aged black people to HER birthday? If you are so concerned with representing all of America, what about the fact there are no poor people attending?
