Do the Children of Southern Racists Inherit the Disorder?

I agree that Missouri has racial issues going back hundreds of years, the town that Harry Truman grew up in supported the Confederacy and actually forced black people to move out.

However, more of the Midwest is like "Mississippi" than Minneapolis (I won't even say Minnesota because there are lots of smaller towns/area that would shock people).

Even Chicago is a very segregated and racist area. The black people live on one side of town where there is extreme poverty and violence. The whites live in other areas and where there is more political influence and money. Go live in Indiana and tell me it is a great place for minorities, especially black people...... same with Southern Illinois.... while there are parts about Southern Illinois I love, it is an extremely racist and conservative area. Wisconsin is similar....... The Midwest is in many ways what some people think the South is......... LaSalle Illinois is a whole lot more like Columbus Georgia than it is like Minneapolis....... Houston and Dallas are more like Minneapolis.

 

Just imagine how women feel.

We have a half-black president -- imagine that for a second. We're not in as dire as a situation as glynch might fear. There are still racists of many races, though, and I agree that we must eradicate racism completely. To achieve that goal, we have much work to do.

Barack Obama, President of the United States, is the first Black president of this country. What I see in your post, and it is far from the first time you have done this, is a deliberate attempt to denigrate the President in an obviously racist way by calling him "half-black," with the word "black" interestingly not capitalized. Why you continue to say and do these things is a mystery to me. On the face of it, your posts of this nature appear to be deliberately racist. Whether you are in fact racist is something I can't answer, because it is equally possible that you are grinning ear to ear, enjoying pretending to be racist simply because you enjoy making people here angry. Regardless, these posts of yours say one of three things, in my humble opinion. That you are in fact racist or, that you enjoy pretending to be racist for some bizarre reason known only to yourself or, the last possible reason I can make out, that you are actually as stupid as your posts about the President make you appear to be.
