Guess not enough Republicans truly care. Some do, but not enough in number or commitment.

Paul Ryan is supposed to be a deficit hawk but here we are. The thing is, when push comes to shove, most Republicans care about other things (defense spending, social security and Medicare for the old, tax breaks) more than they do about deficit or debt.

Republicans used to care a great deal about debt, especially when civil services were integrated at the same time segregated middle-class factory and corporate jobs were exploding, but didn't win elections until Reagan cut taxes. Democrats cared about debt in the '90s, but ceded the moral and cultural high ground with Ken Starr and couldn't recover it after 9/11, so they can't cut the military or end elective wars like they did in the '70s.

Just print more dollars! OMG. it's only paper. with interest. . . . that the government pays to the Federal Reserve. Why does the US government pay interest to the Federal Reserve for US dollars? Idk. . . coz they decided on Jekyll Island 100 years ago. Sure, the USA has to borrow money from some bank dicks, because obviously that's a smart way!!! duh USA USA!

Yeah! Let the Republicans control both houses for 20 more years and we will be like we are today times 10! I am very disappointed in you guys for pretending that actual physical money matters. Hello?!?!?! It's all virtual now. Have you ever hear of Bitcoins? One JDAM costs $1800, but that's only 39 bitcoins. R u stupid or what?!?!?!?!

    Bitcoin isn't a currency.

Only two people actively hate hard money.

    1. People who took an economics class in college and think they're geniuses for remembering that their econ teacher bashed it right before he taught them how to perform the oh so useful skill that is econometrics.

    2. banker assholes and other people in the financial industry who make their money stealing from others due to the banking cartel.

Only one person loves hard money - idiots who go around predicting hyperinflation for years and years and have it never come true.

I find it funny that tea party guys get their economic understanding from a novelist, a doctor, and a lawyer.

As a conservative I care. I do not think the main stream Republicans care very much other than lip service.

Republicans don't give a rip about the debt unless a Democrat is in the White House.
