Do people who book sporting even halftime shows not understand their target audience?

    Maybe it was a promise toElvis before he died, but i don't know of anyone outside Tenn that would buy Lisa Marie Pressley. Back to the Mariah thing, If anyone was to think about it, Mariah came out in 1989 and has dropped like 10 or 11 albums since then. Since then, how many has Madonna dropped? On top of that, other than the Glitter album, Mariah has moved like at least 10mill per album. She has sold more albums than anyone,period!

    Or Capitol Records and MTV/VH1? I can't get over how much VH1 is hyping her! They even did a "Driven" episode on her! :confused:

    I don't care for Mariah or Madonna, but Lisa Marie is worse than anything I have ever heard. Lisa Marie is on a level of badness that no one else can approach.

    I'm not a Mariah fan by any means, but she has a great voice, and sometimes talent sell's records even in pop music.

    Lisa Marie is not hot, her mom right now looks better there her. She looks too much like her dad, in other words, kind of manly.

    Who is their target audience?? And what is the goal of the halftime show??

    To a bunch of guys who post regularly on a Houston Rockets fan site....uh...you're gonna be watching, anyway. They're trying to attract the casual fan. They're trying to give your wife/girlfriend a reason to sit down and watch with you. You're there anyway.

    Besides...given the different musical tastes of people on this board, I'm not sure you'd get a consensus among hoops fans for any kind of music.

    I think all of us would prefer actual music. Speaking of arena entertainment, I know when Les first bought the club, the Rockets entertainment sucked. It was like it was geared towards 10 year olds. I'm especially happy that they finally stopped playing the late eighties slash early nineties music during breaks. You know, "Pump up the jam, pump it up, a little more" or "I'VE GOT THE POWER".
