Fans will be fans no matter where they're at. Please go check out other forums and you will see pretty much the same stuff, shoots if not worse. We all tends to get emotional when it comes to things/sports that we're very passionate about.

 

We're Houston fans we have had our hearts ripped out time after time we have learned to always expect it.

 

The true rockets fans are still here, regardless of awful/negative posts, or not. Overall, people in this forum are doing much better jobs than that in the forum of BSPN.

 

There are worse sites fan-wise, although the vitriol level goes up each year as this smart-phone Xbox generation appears in force.

The stupid anonymous s*** I get in my rep comments makes me understand why Clutch never gets us all physically in one spot for some Clutchfans camaraderie. It'd wind up worse than that bikers-in-Waco event.

 

Have you ever been on any forum? Regardless of subject matter, it's the same. As a matter of fact, just expand the scope to the entire internet.

 

I admit to b****ing a lot after the fact, but we're still playing and it's so twisted to see the bipolar nature of one day wanting to hang a player,coach, gym and the next day gloat about how hardcore a fan you are enough to the point of rounding up bandwagoners.

Expectations my ass. The series is not even over yet and people want to start burning things.

 

The Rox have exceeded this year's expectations IMO, and this team with a few tweaks could go all the way, there is no question about it.

That being said there are some people that will always be negative, its just in their nature to be like that, even if by some miracle we did win the championship they would still find arguments to say that something is wrong, they just cant help it, its stronger than them.

If we took the trouble to review the entire season's forum messages we would see that these are the same people that said "the team will not make the playoffs", "the team will not pass first round", "the team will lose against the Clippers" etc etc etc, and its the same people who hate Harden, McHale, Howard, Morey, Smith, shiiiiet you name it they hate it... they rather root against the Rockets all year long just to prove they are "Right".

Its sad really, they cant appreciate what our team has accomplished this year, and most of them are so stubborn and i would say ignorant that as long as some of these guys, like Harden or Morey etc. are part of the Rockets they will always be against us.

 

Most of these posters don't remember the Mike Scott Astros or the Warren Moon Oilers or the Choke City Rockets. They have no idea what we went through as Houston sports fans. I commend all reverse jinx posts and threads. It worked in the LAC series. Some of them prolly don't even remember the Yao years very well. Houston, Portland, LAC, and Vancouver/Memphis Grizzlies have a history of unfortunate happenings/shortcomings. Those fans are just realists not pessimists.
