@topfive Patrick the CEO of Rainforest Cafe. It's funny how quickly I changed from saying hold strong to move on. When this was made, Harden hadn't basically done what the other three guys did. I'm softer now than I was when I made this. Ben Simmons and Matisse Thybulle had me changing my mind a bit. Harden is out of his damn mind if he isn't asking for $100M tonight. This team could be very special and literally everything has gone right except for well... Harden.
DO NOT TRADE JAMES HARDEN. That was the most impressive loss I've seen. There's no way any team that trades for him will be better than this after they are completely gutted. He has to realize this right? Anyone with eyes should be able to see this. I kept yo yo ing back and forth from trade him to make him stay, but in the meantime, we all kind of forgot why he's worth this hassle. None of these guys will ever even sniff his skill. I would give it one more go and see if it works out this time. If not, trade him in the offseason to wherever.
This thread should be stickied Harden should be on rockets until trade deadline not this season but next and contingent on our record at that time. In other words too bad f* his "feelings" and we have this dude for a run at LEAST A YEAR..NOW..THIS YEAR. If we think of it as toronto then we have a top 5 player for 2 years.. Unless you are getting someone in range. paul George isn't enough. I'd rather harden. There really is no choice harden is that good
I say trade Harden, but not for picks or nuts and bolts. It has to be for a franchise stud (unfortunately only a hand full of them), picks and a couple of bench parts. Harden gave us 8 years of competing for a title and it didn't happen, time to wait patiently for a great deal and trade him. Want to see Wall, Cousins, Woods, Tate, Nwaba, Brown, House, Gordon and Silas develop together
I would gut any roster in the league for any of these three players (in their prime) I'd consider gutting Charlotte, Orlando or NY for JH.
nah...we’re gonna have to play this like Kobe back in 07 do what u gotta do to upgrade this roster and get us back to championship contention so we can keep Harden going from Harden to Simmons, Brown, Siakam, or whoever else is discussed is like going from the finest of luxury cars to the beat up Honda Civic out back, and me, I like luxury
Problem is Harden is not Kobe. He is who he is at this point. Clearly just playing so he can up his value to get traded. But I agree going from Harden to Simmons or Brown or Siakam would be like driving a Honda Civic ............... after years of jet flying, limousine riding....you know the rest
I think harden was leaving anyway in 2 years. Even a title might not be enough.. So you gotta decide when to cut bait and now makes zero sense past him unhappy. He looked like he wasn't even trying dropping 44.. there is no other option..you can't trade a dude like that you just cant lol
