And if you exclude OKC in 2012, a team that Harden was on, only 4 teams have won the West in the last 21 years. The Spurs, Lakers, Warriors & Mavs. So if Harden is trash for not winning the West, then every “star” player who’s played in the West and didn’t play for the Spurs, Lakers, Warriors & Mavs over THE LAST 21 YEARS are trash too. Because nobody else has won it.

    1. That would be called an excuse.

    2. He’s got plenty of other flameouts against non goat teams on his resume.

    That's why it's a team sport.
And championships are won because of the team, coach, front office and owner.

    >any individual accolades.

And yeah the Lakers, Celtics have the best odds in history.

GSW, the Jordan team, Clutch city were anomalies.

You have to radically reform the NBA, where FAs are limited to choose certain cities, trades to certain big markets are limited, to fight it.

    I mean....

The 08/09 season Gasol was 4th in the NBA in win shares. Kobe was 7th.

Playoffs that season Kobe 1st in winshares. Pau 4th

The 09/10 season Gasol was 7th in the NBA in win shares. Kobe finished 21st.

Playoffs that season Pau 1st in win shares. Kobe 2nd.

2 straight seasons where Kobe was not the most productive player on his team. And in the postseason those years Gasol was essentially his equal.

Do I consider Gasol a superstar? Production wise he absolutely was in those 2 title years.

These same people will forget they said this stuff when the Rockets win it all. I won't forget.

If Harden is still here on December 22, 2020, the Rockets will make the WCF AT WORST.

I'm getting tired of a player X wants out. They're under contract, honor it. They're getting paid handsomely. It isn't musical chairs.

There's too many harden/russ trade rumor trade, can the mods merge them? One for Russ and one for Harden? Everytime someone tweets something, a new thread is made.

Bold prediction given how those trades are still about to happen in the arms race.

I could see him coasting in the Playoffs because he is pouting, we haven't seen him really quitting but we're about to.

Lol the odds that he is leaving is not really great as teams haven't made a good offer.

I think teams will come back at the trade deadline, before the playoffs.

There is a good chance he quits during the playoffs as well, this time for real.

Ariza incoming + 2 Picks. Cannot wait to see what the Rockets do to add to this team.

They know not to trade Harden while the rest of you are bending at every word the media says in the headlines without reading what is said inside the article.

Every single article says the same thing.

"The Rockets have no intention of trading James Harden this season. "

I have mixed feeling about this, of course I want us to keep Harden, but how many times we get to the playoffs and Harden plays when he wants to? Or just plan chokes we can’t win a championship with this guy.

0 times with Stephen Silas as his coach. Give it a year.

MDA was a consensus bad hire at the time. Even though opinions changed, no one here was happy with the hire, including myself.

Kevin McHale was the worst coach I had ever watched until Bickerstaff said hold my beer. Hiring him never made sense and made even less sense once Harden was in tow.

I had no problem McHale he wouldn’t let Harden have his way. And days Harden didn’t want to play McHale sear his butt on the bench.

It made sense. At the time, we were pursuing Dwight Howard, Howard wanted to be a focal point of the offense, and McHale was one of the greatest post players of all-time.

Although we had Olajuwon helping at the time, using McHale made more sense. Howard simply didn't have the finesse, footwork, and touch that Olajuwon had. McHale's post game was more mechanical (like Howard's).

Wait, so Rockets trading away one of their best players for a washed Trevor Ariza and draft picks means Harden is staying?

LOL. Delusion is a helluva drug.

yes. The picks will be packaged with Eric Gordon and/or PJ Tucker to bring in a third star or borderline star.

I'm glad you can be so degrading when you are the one in fact who isn't looking past what's in front of their face.

You are stuck looking at the litter on the ground, I'm looking at the beautiful sky.
