A team can only fit so many guys under a salary cap, whether I'm paying it or not, unfortunately!

Love these stories - Morey is going to get fleeced.

No team will be willing to give up value for Simmons now.

    LOL

I think THEY need to ADD some value not us. Wall will is the better player & person of the two. Wall is on the shorter term. I am not so sure we should do it at all because of Simmons’s work ethic and lack of growth as a player. If he is not willing to take on a role that helps our team than we need to just pass on the trade. Wall has said he will just go away if he gets paid.

Rockets would use Simmons as a small ball center, his natural position in today's league.

Simmons' value is at an all time low and Morey knows this, that's why they're playing chicken with him but in reality, those fines aren't going to mean anything when his new team can just revert them.

Wall is actually a good fit next to Embiid, who desperately needs a playmaking guard for his entire career. If we can get him for cheap then I don't see why not since our FO is so obsessed with playing small ball.

Big head scratcher. The only argument that Simmons fans can ever use is "what if he fixes all of his weaknesses".

Well, a few things in here deflate that argument.

When is the last time John Lucas received a raise? We expect him to solve all of our problems. I hope he’s compensated well.

After people said this about Russell Westbrook, I hoped we'd never hear this again.

Just because a guard can't shoot doesn't make them a "small center"! It makes them a Euroleague player.

personally I think it's stupid but our front office has made it clear after Harden's departure that they still believe in small ball.

Boy I hope you’re wrong. Things must be really bad between Sixers management and Simmons though

I would dump Wall in a heartbeat for Simmons. Then as soon as I could trade Simmons i would trade him too. I do not see DM making that trade.

If this is accurate, I hope there is a 3rd team involved for him. Don't want this kind of mentality on our team. We need folks that work at their craft and want to be their best.

I would just have him work on FT's......more arch, back spin, repetitions

Hopefully go from 61% (FT%) to 68% (FT%) this season. 74% (FT%) the follow year.

I don't need him taking 3's if he is screening for players.

Dwight Howard didn't need to shoot 3's when he won a title 2 years ago.
Olajuwon didn't need to shoot 3's.
Capela doesn't need to shoot 3's.
Giannis didn't need to shoot 3's last season when he won it all.
Simmons doesn't need to shoot 3's.

    If Simmons can:
score 18 points / game [previous high 16.9 pts]
9 rebounds / game (Capela lead the league with 14 / game) [previous high 8.8 rebs]
10 assists / game [previous high 8.2 asts]
1.0 block / game [previous high 0.9 blks]
1.7 steals / game [previous high 2.1 steals]
and be defensive player of the year

*With no Embiid, Simmons can open up his game

He will be worth having and everything else will fall into place

Simmons as a small ball center is the only way I would be tempted. Wood is the perfect stretch big man for him to play with. But with Wood wanting that big pay day it really too much money tied up in your 5 and 4 positions with a Theis contract on board that is not exactly cheap. Still like:
    Simmons
    Wood
    KMart/ Floor Spacer
    Green
    KPJ
