people are only wanting to trade rafer is Steve francis is brought in. Otherwise, there is no point to trade him
In order to make a trade both teams must agree. You really think Milwaukee couldn't get a better deal than that. I'm sure they would just hang on to Yi's rights for 5 years before they would do a deal that lopsided. Also, Steve Francis sucks!
but Steve can throw some random, ridculous shots that will make you yell at the TV. I just hope he gas grown up a little after all these years. He could be a good PG that can put James on bench without arguing, maybe.
game SEVEN Nice Rollin, what if I were to tell you that we put a team on the floor that included Yao, T-Mac, Wells and Battier and our point gaurd decided to dribble the ball for 20 seconds out of the 24 second shot clock would that be something you might be intrested in?
trash? I bet Mr. Alexander disagree's I heard some of those Francis teams were among the greatest ever assembled
funny how people forget how awful the team looked that one game where rafer couldn't play... keep rafer for now trading him could come back to bite us in the azz... all depends on what/who we get in return
With all these scorers that the Rockets now have, I guess they need to hold on to someone who couldn't score in a womens prison wearing pants made out of pardons.
I would not trade Rafer right now UNLESS it’s for another PURE PG. No, Francis is not a pure PG, so signing him doesn't make Rafer expandable. Given that, Francis is definitely an upgrade over Luther. Making our back court rotation James/Rafer and T-Mac/Francis!
does this board have a man crush on steve or something????? I just dont get it.....people seem to want dribble mania back. And do people not get how only a couple of teams want him in the leauge....b/c he is washed up.
Tell that to the teams he dropped 20 pts on last season. Francis still has game. And despite the flaws in his game, at the LLE, its worth it.
well, I'm sure I may not as much about scoring in prison as you do - but do you honestly think we would be better off without Rafer on the team? he can hit behind the arc "barely" enough of the time and his two point percentage is, well, terrible. just awful. But he doesn't turn the ball over, makes decent decisions when he doesn't have to play 44 minutes a game and runs the offense well (much better than James). the downfall last season was the amount of minutes due to not having a viable backup point and having a starting 4 with the range of a red rider bb gun on one pump. Not having a viable backup point will be exactly where we will be this season if we trade Rafer without getting a starting point guard in return. We'll see what happens. But I don't get the hate... Later, Brock
didn't most fans ask for Kenny smith's head up until he hit that shot in the first game of Orlando finals? Some of the comments I read here tells me,some of us have not learned from past experiences. Rafer runs the team with the best of them, IMO ,we now have James and also later Brooks to do what Rafer lacks.
Rafer does 5 things for this team.... 1. Brings the ball up the court. 2. Pretends that he can penetrate. 3. Misses open threes. 4. Thinks he's tony parker and can actually hit a tear-dropper. 5. Try to play defense. Out of all those things, only the first one is positive. Hmm...So is bringing the ball up the court that difficult? Brookes can do it. James can do it. Francis can do it. Remember why we traded for Alston in the first place? To create for our team...how much of that has he done?
