Steve has made it clear that he does care, very much. "The toughest thing is when the fans do that chanting. If they do that chanting... again I'm going to cry." Why do you hate Steve so much? What did he ever do to you? Why? It's not going to bring him in, and it's not going to make him feel better. It will make Alston feel undercut, Francis start crying, and everyone else just annoyed. Why not just heckle Alston directly if you aren't interested in helping the Rockets with your cheers?
I'm not into emoticons, but I did sigh audibly when I saw this. Why do so many of the responses in the thread follow the lines of, "What makes you think the coaches listen to what fans say?" when clearly my whole point rests on the fact that they don't? Look, if chanting "WE WANT STEVE!" would put him on the floor faster, I would do it. I wouldn't care if he went 0-for-15 and we lost by 30, I want to see that #3 back on the court. But chanting isn't going to accomplish that. It's just going to put Francis and Brooks (the guy Steve's minutes are mainly going to come from) in an awkward, unpleasant situation.

Actually, I was working on a masterpiece thread about how the Rockets need to trade Alston + the scrubs for a point guard who shoots at least 41.5% from 3 and creates his own shot and won't collapse down the stretch and who has experience leading a team in the playoffs and who is young and has upside and my hand left the keyboard and tried to strangle me.
I wish this board was moderated better than this, too many pointless threads. You do realize there's thousands of people at every game that AREN'T MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM? There's probably many members here THAT NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL ATTEND A GAME. I can't understand how you realistically thought you'd influence this "problem", or solve it, or whatever it is you were trying to do. By the time Steve actually dresses for a game this thread will be out of sight and completely forgotten.
eeeh never mind, we wont go there.... The chant will probably get done. Its more HOW they do it that matters. It should NOT BE during the keys parts of the game when the players ACTUALLY PLAYING need the support. We Want Steve should mean we're glad to have Steve, not PUT IN STEVE NOW.

If you guys want a cripple at point guard then you can chant for Steve so he can cry about not being able to get off the bench because his vagina hurts. Even though I hate to admit it we are stuck with Rafer's Brick Factory Inc. Francis is done, he was a flash in the pan and will end up just like "Mighty Mouse".
