I’m not saying anything - just sharing our experience as it was clumsy and a lot of time just to be denied. I understand the shortage and want whoever needs to be tested or needs help to get it. There is nothing political embedded in my posts and won’t be. I merely thought CF might want to hear this experience and the situation but as usual I should have kept it to myself.
it’s not my wife. I’m not the person in question ... basic facts seem to be a problem with trumpets ... no use responding to the rest.
@whiskeyred, thanks for sharing. Not sure who's giving you grief, as I must have them on ignore. But we should share first hand accounts, I think. I think they are vastly under-measuring in the Austin area (and everywhere else). Take care everyone!
You have been doing well so far. Your family members could consider taking a bit more precautions to prevent in-family spread -- which accounted for over 70% of infections in China -- based on the CDC guide (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/guidance-prevent-spread.html), especially if your wife develops more symptoms listed here.
Thanks - she’s remained in our room which is upstairs and if she’s come down at all (barely) she wears a mask and gloves. Those items were not hoarded by the way - I low key prep a few items (years old) and can’t even count how many times I’ve washed hands, wiped everything down, sanitized on and on. As of last night one ear temp measured normal for her, one read slight fever at 99.6, no other symptoms, rest of us still normal. We’ve also kept as much fresh air flowing as possible through the house. I’ve remained downstairs with our boys in the their room and our guest room. We’ve pumped our vitamins, heavier doses of liposomal vitamin C - grabbed sunlight when possible - so I’ve done my best to keep us all as healthy as we can. All we can do. When I go to her, I’ve taken same precautions and had a few “Silkwood” showers. We’ll see where we are today. again, we obviously don’t know what’s up with her, flu - c virus etc. - peace
We are going to go get tested in an hour. Daughter has been coughing a lot and there was a case in her kindergarten (which is now closed).
I know of a sick teacher showing all the symptoms that tested negative for the flu and still was not given a test in the ER. You'd think teachers would have access to immediate testing.
In Austin, this the time of the year where the live oaks(about half the trees in the area) lose all their leaves and produce pollen that covers everything. It makes everyone feel horrible and all those people probably think they may have Corona. It sucks.
