Frankly, it is stupid to go into medicine for money. If you put as much work into entrepreneurship or other business as doctors put into medicine, you would make much more than the richest docors make off of their practices. With the grades it takes to get into med school these days, anyone that has the grades to get into med school could easily go into I-Banking or consulting and make 3 times what a doctor makes by the time they are 30. Obviously, I don't know the doctors that you know, but to have to resort to making unnecessary referrals is pretty low. There is a shortage of doctors almost everywhere in the country. If a doctor can't get any business in this state of supply and demand,there is something wrong with him. It's funny that y'all speak of unnecessary procedures. If anything, many doctors have to perform these unnecessary procedures to cover their asses so people like y'all can't sue them in the off chance that you are afflicted by some rare disorder.
