I'm not proposing a trade, just say what I think of them. I gave the nod to AI because of the past performance of his team in the playoff. Both of them are damaged goods, so you have risk with either one. In AI, you know what you get, an offensive talent, but a weak defender with an off court problem. In Tmac, the question lays on his back. Can it hold up, and can he still play like his old self CONSISTENT for the season? Those are million dollar questions, no one have the answer for.
I wouldn't want to offer a player for AI. The Rockets don't have enough players. I'd consider offering a first round draft pick for AI. I don't know if it's doable but I think AI is worth more than a late first rounder. And I don't think that the 76ers are going to given anything like a T-Mac by anyone else. I'd make the low offer and not offer anything crucial to a playoff run. David.
Greg Anthony brought it up again on SportsCenter after tonight's game. He said that the "best fit" for AI would be either the Magic or the Rockets, and he went on to elaborate on how the Rockets would be a "great fit" for AI.
Before the 1st game on espn they mentioned it as well. They set it up by asking Anthony what was the latest on the AI deal. He basically said if I am not mistaken, that the latest he had heard, was that there was a three way deal that might go down. He said that it wasn't sure what teams could be involved, but said the teams that may be talking with Philly are Portland, Seattle or Houston... Who knows. LUTHER STAYS!!!
While in theory it would be a perfect fit, Iverson's declining defense and his gambles on stealing the ball would effectively put Yao in foul trouble pretty much all of the time.
I just dont see how the Rox can get AI without giving up Luther Head. Philly wants young talent and he is the only one on the Rox that might fit that mold. Of course more contracts and players would have to be included. Im intrigued but I just dont see how the Rox get him without giving up at least 4 players and that would kill the already weak bench.
