Well to me it does. And I wouldn't really say he's a cancer. I mean he knows where he stands career wise and is willing to do what's best for his team. Isn't that why he asked for a trade? Tmac was in the exact same situation. Not my fault he isn't a great leader.
I watched Outside the lines, around the horn, and PTI today (I was brain dead after a final) I didnt hear any mention of Houston being a place where AI will land or should land. Most of the analysts on the shows said either, Minny, Sacto, or the Clips. They say AI would flourish in Goldenstate with the offensive minded Nelson.
its a joke man. i think we're all a little happy for lu, and how he played tonight...he temporarily brought joy to those who had none...let him be God for one night
This game, he was pretty darn close to godhood. Oh, if only he'd gone off for 28 like he did against the Mavs last season...
i think AI needs the ball in his hands way too much to be affective. sure he might score 40 points but he'll shoot 10 for 36. but i do like how he gets to the freethrow line....and is fearless going to the basket
Nah, not taking offense. Personally, I'd rather see him get closer to 30 points before I'd consider him a deity. He owns the 3-ball, though.
The salaries won't work. Rafer+Bonzi+T-mac+howard salaries equal around 27 million dollars. AI+Webber+hunter salaries equal roughly around 40 million dollars. There is a 13 million dollar difference, and since both teams are over the cap, then this deal will not work. Even if both teams are under the cap, this deal still wouldnt work.
I'd hate to see Tmac go in a trade for AI. It's only been 2 years if you even wanna count last year, but he has become one of my all time favorite players. I love the guy...
I would say go for AI without trading T-mac. Having a surperb PG, an all rounder SF in T-Mac, and the best Center in Yao. J.Howard, Rafer Alston, and Shane Battier should come close to AI contract. Granted it's a lot to give, but you will have a 30 pt scorer for 3-4 more years, Yao in the post and T-mac who will not command the ball as much will give teams fits. Yes, defense will hurt but how much? We all want to get rid of J.Howard anyways, plus Rafer is not all that. Battier is a solid contributor, but he is no AI. His 40 minutes will take care of PG/SG minutes, however, my main concern is him verses Van Gundy. Even if we want to trade AI next year, I'm sure we can get better players than what we trade for unless it's T-mac or Yao. AI with a true big man will be fun to watch. Let's go for it! 3 of the top ten players on 1 team, Oh my! T-mac just have to stay healthy! If not trade him for AI because we all know AI will give us 3 good years, not sure with T-mac.
