Jazz in 2007 were better than us in 2007. No question about it.

not really. we had the same rafer alston. he shot better this yr as opposed to last yr. if that rafer shot 40% instead of 33%, we'd win last yr.

I don't think it was rigged, but I don't agree with how the Jazz are able to play and be officiated: Be the most physical team in the league, yet still get these ridiculous flopping calls.

Not rigged, lack of bench and consistent play from starters killed us.

Doesn't help the Jazz play dirty but are able to hide it.

It's hard to say if this series is rigged. I've always thought the only cheaters in the series were the Jazz. But there is no way that Utah was/is better than we are. We were slightly favored to win the 2007 series, but overwhelmingly picked to lose this season but only because we didn't have Yao. The only thing that Utah has over us is their physical style of play. Other than that, they really don't any advantage over us.

As much as I and most of us hate to admit it, the Jazz outplayed us last year '07 in the playoffs. In game 7 especially in our building, where the home team wins 85% of the win when all the marbles are on the line. We can't expect since the Donaghy allegations have hit the sports where playoff series were fixed, that everything is fixed. In game 7 last year against the Jazz, seemed like they wanted it more down the stretch plus some long rebounds bounced their way

Jazz are annoying, but are a solid team. Unfortunately we just got beat this year.

The '05 series is the only Rox series that was rigged. I don't think it was truly malicious on the part of the league. I think what happened is that Cuban complained about Yao and then the refs felt pressured to significantly change the way the games were being called. The refs need to be insulated from that kind of pressure and also need to explain better how they make their decisions. Otherwise it's just too easy for them to make cop out calls. They also need to be held accountable when they seriously screw up. After game 5 of the the Hou/Dallas series, at the least the ref crew needed to be suspended or demoted.

Last year no, it was our fault, it was bench's fault

But this year well. Refs did a horrible job, I really hate those calls especially that freaking flop on AK

Most definitely. Whoever gave Yao his stress fracture needs to pay.

We all know that we're good "if healthy," everyone loves to flaunt the "if healthy" factor. But the fact is that we WEREN'T healthy, and we hardly ever are healthy. You MUST take into account health, and therefore we were not the better team.

hardly so we just got beat by a more talented jazz team in 07 and we unfortunately were really banged up (4/5 of our starters were either not playing or playing with injuries that required off season surgery) this season. There were some terrible calls yes (i dont need to go into them) but there was nothing there that said to me that something was really out line.

granted it did make me made that fouls that weren't called for tmac when he was driving in from the perimeter were called for kobe the next round. but thats a different story

it's going to be REAL interesting next year to see what teams drop because of the new rules against flopping and refs being under scrutiny to not look like they are being paid off or influenced.

We wouldn't know whether the Jazz-Rockets game is being manupulated or not. I can only observed that the Jazz were very physical and there is a lot contacts and fouls that the ref did not whistle. Some ppl thinks that how playoffs are, the ref swallowed their whistles. I just hope the refs are impartial i.e. if it's a foul, it's foul.
