Then incel and hookup culture becomes more blurred where neckbeards like that dark enlightenment mastermind fill out a cultural foundation for normal-ish bros who happen to subscribe to tate, jordan peterson, and rogan feeds. Those three arent even the same in the intensity of their views, but a scale could be applied that fits in that foundation. I dont think its wrong to assume women of all age groups have their own digital ecosystem that makes them feel entitled, privileged, and significant. The joke on here is that noone watches the view, yet it stays on how? There's two answers there and one is a question about self awareness and where you fit in the larger trends.

You can guess or try to look up a credible source. 2. What percentage of the Democratic Party and the US population oppose the deportation of illegals who are criminals? (Be careful with this one. Some folks support the deportation, but want due process/law followed. I’m asking you what percentage of people actually say, hey, we should not deport illegals who are criminals, regardless of whether due process or law was followed). Similarly, you can guess or try to find a credible source. I would actually rather you guess because my whole point is that you probably believe it is the entire Democratic Party - 75 million people who voted against Trump.

I will play fly in the ointment here. Regardless of whether less than 1% of dems support or 50 % of dems support does not matter to the right. The hard core right has been feed the perception that this is Americs biggest issue. Even though it is not remotely close. It's all about perception regardless of it is in any way true or not. And right there is the point of this thread. @Salvy @GOATuve @tinman @strosb4bros have all studiously avoided the simple question of just what percent of democrats and the US population oppose deportation of illegals/criminals and support trans men->women competing in women’s sports. These people want to act like it is a nationwide pandemic and all democrats have those views. Why? Because it is a necessary component of them justifying support for Trump. No matter what Trump does or says, he isn’t for men competing in women’s sports and he isn’t against deporting illegals/criminals. We just saw Salvys rant to that very effect. Yet neither he not goatuve will even hazard a statement on the percentage of Dems or US population take these views. Why? Because they actually know it is minuscule. However, it is a very useful minuscule part of the population. Trans competing in women’s sports is basically defund the police. Very few people support those ideas, but it sure is useful to believe the entire Democratic Party stands for those things.

I really don't want to harm your argument here but I think some of your talking points are why the Democrats fail. They want to be Republican lite. Without social media and local news "it bleeds it leads" as type of reporting, I doubt many Americans would disagree with law enforcement needing a smaller precense in America when you look at crime data over the past 50 years. But I think local news and social media algorithms have fried the average American's brain. Things like immigration and the fear mongering over undocumented migrants. Donald Trump has high approval when it comes to immigration policy and I think that's an indictment of how stupid the average American is. Millions of Americans cheer on seeing images of migrants being dehumanized as they enter labor camps in El Salvador 99.9© of them never had a negative interaction with these people which shows how much hate can be generated from fake realities. I think Democrats have a role to play here in capitulating to right wing framing of the border. For example, creating a Draconian border bill and using it as a campaign tactic to say that Trump is less tough on the border because he pushed to not vote for said Draconian bill. Harris 8 years ago called the border wall racist and then this past election cycle called it a good idea. The type of people who care about "border security" will just say "so you Democrats are in hindsight late to the party, so why shouldn't I just vote for the party that was right about the border the entire time?".
It really doesn't matter what percentage of the population supports it. When it took until Feb 2025, after dems were curb stomped on cultural issues aside from abortion, for the FIRST official to come out and say it's obviously unfair for men to compete in womens sports... there is a major problem. Not only of cowardice, but caving to the radical left who have been running riot. Numbers don't mean anything if an aggressive minority can bully you around. I mean a dude was wrestling in the female olympics and officials were clapping for him. Colleges throughout the nation saw female events being won by males who were competing as men 2 or 3 years prior. That's where the fascist nature of the radical left comes in. Of the media and institutions they run. No one democratically voted for this nor were any biological females asked about their consensus opinions. They were shushed and gaslighted, even after injuries. Because the agenda was more important than democratic consensus. The narrative trumped truth. It was never about the people... it was about them playing God. So just asking this question shows you don't get why so many moderates and swing voters were scared AF by "woke leftists" and every county in America had higher Rep votes than 2020.
Regarding people who believe defunding the police is a good idea and that trans people in sports is a way of humanizing them, I don’t think or assume that people who believe in these things are bad people. I can even understand the viewpoint. As to defunding the police, I think it is both unrealistic and politically stupid. As for what I think needs to be done with the police, I would like to see a nationwide movement for (1) accountability, (2) regular audit, and (3) reduction of policing and diverting some of the spend to crisis management/deescalation professionals. If anything needed to be DOGEed, it is policing in this country. As for humanizing trans people through sports, I support humanizing trans people, but I struggle with the idea of doing it through sports. First, there are very legitimate issues regarding competition and fairness when you have trans compete in women’s events, nevermind safety. Second, I think trying to humanize trans people in this arena is counterproductive. Re politics as a whole, I agree with your posts in this thread about how the donor class will never allow Democrats to attack landlords, corporate executives, etc. Unless the structure changes, the far left is better served with the crumbs they get from the Dems, than the repeated kicks in the face they get from Republicans. From a risk reward standpoint, the far left f-cked around in 2024 and are finding out. I agree with you - some of them lack the resources, time and attention to sift through the issues and vote on more of an informed basis. But that’s where we are.
