Really want to see Dmo back. We could use his passing and posting ability for when we slow things down.

Goodbye Motiejunas. You were always a stiff that showed nice things here and there. Now you're a stiff with a bad back, and no one is going to pay you big money to lay on the table in the training room and receive treatment. Best of luck to you, and you're still welcomed here anytime. Just at $4.4m a year though, of course.

Bro, it's 2016. We don't recognize racial categories in here. In the future If you can take out the "white" portion that would be greattt, ********er.

    ;)

I don't really see Dekker as a DMO replacement.

Dekker is a 3 who can slide over to the 4. DMo is a 4 who can slide over to the 5.

Dekker faces up and slashes. DMo posts up.

I don't know about Dekker's defense or shooting. If they are both above average, then we have something.

I think you said the same thing about Parsons.

That he was a poor man's Chase Budinger when you didn't want Budinger moved to the bench.

It's POSSIBLE that Dekker is good. He might be a bust, but maybe not.

It's basketball and I want the roster to get longer and more athletic not less.

For people who understood basketball, you knew that Parsons most likely going to turn into a good starter and great role player, provided he stayed healthy. You can tell due to the way he played the game, specifically how he moves off the ball, hits big shots, and is typically in the right place at the right time. I don't know if Dekker is capable of this yet as I haven't watched his college tapes, but with C-Bud, it was obvious he was a mental midget, soft, and passive.

I don't care who DD dislikes. But whenever DD obsessively likes a player I also like, I am scared.

Given what we saw out of Lawson, Brewer, Jones, Smith, etc. who literally forgot how to play basketball last season, "knowing how to play basketball" is a highly underrated skill.

Yeah, even though i'm not sure they ever know how to play basketball lol...i mean, i'm deliberately exaggerating, but aside Lawson who had his problems, the others have always been pretty dumb on the court...Smoove was a great talent, but there's a reason if a lot of guys with less talent than him have been more successful (and i don't mean "cause they won something").

Dekker can't shoot. That's the big problem with him.

I'd argue he doesn't have a single NBA-level skill. He's just meh at everything.

Also, I think his glacier-like lateral movement will really be exposed with the effort levels ratcheted up during the regular season. You can hide it at the 4 on offense, but you are going to make huge sacrifices on defense/rebounding by doing that.

Considering SVG was one of his biggest fans and Detroit voided the trade for medical reasons it makes me think there are serious concerns about DMo's future health. No team is going to spend long-term money on him. If he wants to sit out for a whole year rather than prove that he's healthy and become a UFA at the end of the year, I think it's a very foolish decision.

And Dekker, if healthy, will be a decent pro. A role player on the level of Patrick Patterson. The guy really knows how to play, but has no star potential at all. For bench depth, I'm perfectly happy with where we drafted him.

@MrButtocks - if he sits a whole year he is still a RFA.

Dmo still the Xfactor, hes the glue guy we need. i hope we can sign him soon. he can be really efficient in Mike'ds system. We need another bigs that can pass and set solid picks at the high post area. only have Nene can do that right now. Harrell going be a beast, but hes still raw. and he can't pass. Dmo can shoot 3s, post up and i think he plays better D than Nene and Ryan, he always in the right postion. maybe slow sometimes, but hes above defender and wat i like about Dmo is he always get his teamates involved.

Dekker to me has been about similar to Wiltjer, at SF instead of PF. Efficient heady offense, gives up a lot on D. Dekker's movements are heavy and upright, not aesthetically elastic. Plays are still being made from it still.

Wiltjer might be the more effective player in the stretch shooting role, but Dekker's game has a little more dimension to it. Dekker at times can softly contribute in the NON-3&D stuff. Look up and he might have 3rbs 2asts 1stl, a loose ball recovery, advances ball up court as extra ballhandler in short minutes. While shooting and D is premium now, still need those kind of plays as "glue" types.
