Because his dumbass agent seems to think that a guy who averaged 6.2ppg and 2.9rpg (and whose back was so bad it tanked a midseason trade) is worth "starting center" $$'s.

For reference, Noah got 4/72, Mozgov and Mahinmi got 4/64, Plumlee got 4/52, Leuer got 4/42, Big Al got 3/30, Boban got 3/21, and Ezeli got 2/15. Andrew Nicholson got 4/26 and Cole Aldrich got 3/22.

On the other hand, old friends Jordan Hill got 2/8 and Tarik Black got 2/12.5. Hibbert settled for 1yr, $5MM.

It sounds like BJ's holding out for stupid money, and Morey's (correctly) not going to give it to him.

He averaged 6.2/2.9 and his back was so bad it tanked a midseason trade. No he won't.

I'm not sure about 30 mil, but he'll get his deal eventually. It's really just a matter of time.

Omer Asik averaged 3/5 before Morey paid him.....maybe there are better ways to judge players. Maybe.

In limited minutes, Asik was able to make it through two productive seasons without getting hurt. D-Mo hasn't managed that once.

Actually Dmo made it through his first two seasons injury free, and his 3rd too, got injured at the END of his third and it hindered him during his 4th as he recovered.

    Let's at least be accurate.

So Asik's 14.7 minutes per game counts as "limited minutes" but DMo's 14.8 minutes per game last year doesn't?

    Good to know.

i'd be happy if we give him 3/36 or 4/45 - with at starting salary of 9 mil. he can play with both hands, post on both sides. shoot the 3 and run the floor. he fits MDA's offense so he is warrnated some money.

He wasn't actually good in his first two seasons. Or last year (when he also wasn't healthy the entire year).

If jopatmc shows up, this thread can just turn into a full-on delusional fanboy circle-jerk.
