DMO's agent "Rockets not doing enough to re sign him"

I think today's trade was mostly about our lack of PG depth rather then a log jam at PF.

Prigioni was our only backup PG before today. Ennis doesn't fix our problems at the point by any means but his aquisition adds desperately needed depth to our weakest position.

Both sides need to get this done but I would do the same if I were DMO and hold out for as much money as I could get.

 

Maybe they will announce DMo signing at media day.

Morey has coached MDA well. Don't say "I'd really prefer to have him in camp now." Just say, "'eh, doesn't matter. He's a pro. He'll pick it up."

 

Seems less likely he gets traded everyday.

Tough spot for both the Rockets and DMo. It's in their best interest for the Rockets to lowball him. At the same time, DMo and his agent are trying to get max value for him every way they can.

 

I wonder if Garnett retiring has any connection to DMo...

Wow D'Antoni is very high on DMo and says he will have a big role - looks like he will be here after all - sauces say.

What does Oct 1 signify?

 

That is the day the QO expires, he still is a RFA, and the Rockets could renew it, but usually that doesn't happen.

So I expect this to go down to the wire, and DMO signs the QO or Morey gives him a decent contract for 2-4 years guaranteed.

Just got a chance to watch the MDA Morey presser and MDA gave the vibe that Dmo will be apart of that they want to do. Honestly think he will not be traded in the near future.

 

Haven't seen this one used much since the Rick Adelman days, lol.
